Bill has pioneered thermal imaging technology for multiple industries since the early 1980s. In 2012, he co-founded Seek Thermal, his third company in the infrared thermal imaging space, to develop, manufacture and market dramatically lower cost infrared camera cores for consumer, commercial and industrial uses. The order of magnitude cost reductions have fueled many new applications for thermal imaging and measurement. Bill received his engineering education at UCSB graduating BSEE ’73, MSEE ’74, and PhD EE ’76 emphasising integrated circuit design and fabrication. His numerous papers, patents and awards attest to his enduring impact on infrared technology and business.
