VITEC, global advanced video encoding and streaming solutions provider, has announced that its award-winning, enterprise-grade EZ TV IPTV and Digital Signage Platform can now manage and drive complex video wall setups and is interoperable with the latest content protection and DRM standards required by the leading services providers for IPTV deployments. These capabilities are fully supported through the EZ TV Platform, with DRM integration also available across VITEC's IPTV set-top-boxes, signage end-points, and the cutting-edge EZ TV IPTV mobile app. Attendees will see a live demonstration of the new EZ TV release at the 2018 NAB Show, April 9-12, at the Las Vegas Convention Center — booth SL6821. IPTV and digital signage "This release adds incredible value to our market-leading EZ TV IPTV and Digital Signage Platform," said Eli Garten, vice president of IPTV & Enterprise Video Solutions at VITEC.We continue to rapidly advance the platform, adding innovative functionality that allows our customers to achieve more with the system" "Our EZ TV Platform powers the IPTV and signage services for most tier one news organisations, broadcast centres, government facilities, and military commands, and has been the system of choice for many sports organisations that are building new facilities or upgrading existing venues." "We continue to rapidly advance the platform, adding innovative functionality that allows our customers to achieve more with the system and to enhance the video experience provided to their users." Video wall solution VITEC's video wall solution is designed to simplify deployment and management of projects involving IPTV, digital signage, and video wall content, while delivering a breathtaking visual experience. The new EZ TV video wall processors are 100-percent hardware-based, feature low-latency native playback of IPTV streams up to 4K, and support interactive content, video, and imagery transformations. Up to 60 displays can be managed from a single processor, including non-standard layouts and resolutions of TVs and LED walls. In addition to the video wall and new DRM integration, the new release adds enterprise IPTV capabilities. This includes time-shifted TV, a new mobile app for iOS and Android devices that allows users to stream video from the field back to HQ in addition to playing IPTV content, real-time enhancement of HEVC streams delivered over lossy networks, and TAA-compliant, high-performance end-points.
VITEC, a provider of advanced video encoding and streaming solutions, has announced it will showcase its latest generation IPTV and ISR streaming, distribution, archiving, and playback solutions at Government Video Expo in booth 414 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., from Nov. 29-30. Commitment to innovation "VITEC continues its strong commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enable government agencies and military units to optimise their video workflows, while addressing the biggest challenge of limited network bandwidth," said Eli Garten, vice president of IPTV & Enterprise Video Solutions at VITEC. "Our high-performance IPTV and ISR products include a military-grade, scalable video distribution system and small footprint encoders powered by the world's most efficient video compression codec, allowing users to ingest and distribute more content than ever before on any type of network." At the show, VITEC will demonstrate its EZ TV platform — an end-to-end solution for secure dissemination and content management of full motion video (FMV) streams and offline files to desktops, TVs, and mobile devices. The platform enables local and remote users throughout the enterprise network, decision makers, and analysts to quickly view, archive, retrieve, and share ISR footage video assets with KLV/STANAG metadata. Ruggedised systems For harsh environments requiring rugged systems, VITEC will be showing its "TOUGH" family of encoders: MGW Diamond TOUGH, its recently introduced multichannel HEVC/H.264 encoder, and MGW Pico TOUGH, an ultra-compact, power-efficient H.264 encoder. Both appliances are DO-160 and MIL-STD compliant and capable of streaming any type of video originating from ground vehicles, manned or unmanned airborne platforms, and marine vessels. VITEC will also demonstrate the MGW Ace Encoder and Decoder, the industry's leading portable, hardware-based HEVC 10-bit encode/decode solution. Powered by VITEC's proprietary second-generation HEVC Codec (GEN2), the MGW Ace Encoder delivers unparalleled video quality at any bitrate. With a wide selection of I/Os, built-in Zixi™, and Pro-MPEG FEC stream protection technology, the encoder streams video, audio, and KLV metadata using half the bandwidth required by today's H.264 encoding solutions. When paired with the MGW Ace Decoder, the end-to-end solution delivers bandwidth-efficient, error-free video streams over any network.
