She serves as Chair of the IEEE Standards Association (SA) working group on Zero Trust for Health Technology and co-leads the ACT Research Institute, a think tank focused on cybersecurity, AI, and public-interest technology. Dr. Rana is also the founder of CyberSecure, a consulting firm that supports small businesses in meeting cybersecurity and compliance requirements. She has authored multiple books and publications on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence and is dedicated to bridging academic research with practical application to advance secure, responsible innovation.
