Intellian has received Inmarsat Type Approval for its latest innovation, the GX100NX antenna, which is now authorised for use on the Global Xpress satellite network and Inmarsat Fleet Xpress service.
This development marks a significant step for Intellian in enhancing maritime satellite communications, as the GX100NX is set to unlock the full capabilities of Fleet Xpress, a rapidly expanding Maritime VSAT service. Introduced in May 2019, the GX100NX aims to provide maritime users with superior RF performance, supported by a 10W high power BUC option to ensure robust Ka-band connectivity.

The GX100NX joins Intellian's growing NX series, noted for its faster, lighter, and more durable antennas that offer excellent performance across major satellite networks. The GX100NX incorporates a single cable design, coupled with the new AptusNX software, both of which facilitate quick installation and maintenance.

This focus on simplifying deployment results in cost efficiencies without compromising on link performance. Additionally, the NX platform's modular design contributes to reduced spare part inventory requirements by up to 40%.
Enhancing cost-effectiveness, the GX100NX Below Deck Unit consolidates the Antenna Control Unit, GX modem, and mediator function for dual antenna configurations within a single unit, thus further cutting down on installation and commissioning time and expenses.
