| The sale allows Observint to focus on developing the company’s DIGIOP video & data management platform |
Observint Technologies, a leading security technology company based in Austin, TX, recently announced that the company has sold its infinias® access control technology to 3xLOGIC, a provider of intelligent video surveillance solutions with headquarters in Westminster, CO.
“Since the acquisition of infinias in September of 2012, the business has more than doubled in size,” said Brian Wood, CEO of Observint. “This is a true testament to the value of the infinias solution.”
Wood continued, “While Observint had very aggressive plans for infinias, we feel that 3xLOGIC offers an expansive platform that will accelerate the growth and continued development of infinias’ technology.”
The sale allows Observint to focus on developing the company’s DIGIOP® branded video & data management platform, and growing the company’s core video business.
Since 2003, DIGIOP’s cutting-edge software has offered seamless integration of video and information from back-office systems – such as point-of-sale and people counting devices. Under the direction of President Mike Compton, DIGIOP will continue its focus on the retail sector, where the company already serves many of the largest franchises in North America.
In addition to DIGIOP, Observint is parent to two of the nation’s leading security solutions providers, Supercircuits and Security Cameras Direct. Both companies will continue to sell both infinias and DIGIOP technologies.
