STANLEY Security, a leading provider of access control and integrated security solutions, announces the official launch of the new BEST 40H Visual Indicator Thumb-Turn (VIT) option for its 40H mortise lock series.
Due to recent “lockdown” policy application demand from schools and universities, and designed for a broad range of other commercial and institutional applications, the enhanced option is a visually intuitive, clear and effective thumb-turn that allows users to quickly and easily lock rooms from the interior side of the door. In any emergency or lockdown event, the thumb-turn indicator is simple to use, with bold, color-coded “secured” (red) and “unsecured” (green) visual indication to ensure that the door has been locked correctly and quickly. Additionally, the thumb-turn is non-handed and an aesthetically pleasing complement to a variety of trim styles.
Paired with the BEST 40H mortise lock series, the new BEST 40H Visual Indicator Thumb-Turn option offers a high performance, durable, mechanical solution that can be trusted in emergency lockdown situations. Other features include:
