The Defence & Security 2025 exhibition has officially commenced at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, marking its 12th edition as a significant event for the defence industry in Asia.
This renowned Tri-Service Defence and Internal Security Exhibition, Conference, and Networking Event opened with a ceremony led by H.E. General Nattaphon Narkphanit, Minister of Defence.
Key figures such as Ministers of Defence, Chiefs of Armed Forces, Commanders in Chief, Ambassadors, and senior officials from ASEAN and other regions attended the opening.
The event set a tone of collaboration, with government and industry leaders gathering to discuss advancements in defence technologies and strengthen international security partnerships.
Platform for strategic dialogue
As the exhibition progresses, the Thai Minister of Defence will host an Executive Luncheon for official delegations, senior Thai military officials, exhibitors, and honoured guests. This gathering aims to facilitate strategic discussions, foster relationships, and extend networking opportunities, aligning with the event's theme, "Power of Partnership."
The four-day event is expected to attract over 280 delegations from 27 countries. These include representatives from ASEAN member states and significant defence partners in Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region, coordinated by the Thai Ministry of Defence and the Chiefs of the Royal Thai Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Attendees will participate in VIP tours as well as Government-to-Government (G2G) and Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings to promote collaboration and form new defence alliances.
Latest Defence and Security Innovations
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, attendees can engage with high-level seminars on the Technical Stage, focusing on the latest defence and security innovations. Scheduled sessions from 14:00 to 15:45 delve into forward-looking defence and space technologies.
Topics include "Space Technology Capabilities of Thailand – Defence and Security Aspects," presented by the Defence Technology Institute (DTI) and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), and "Accelerating Thailand’s Space Technology: Collaborative Innovation Among DTI, GISTDA, the Royal Thai Armed Forces, and the Private Sector," given by DTI and EOS Orbit.
