Looking to capitalise on regional economic growth, modernization spending and changing defense and security requirements, U.S. companies competing for air, land and sea contracts in Europe will showcase innovative technologies, equipment and services at MILIPOL, November 17-20 in Paris. The biennial business event is the most comprehensive of its type in the region, and is expected to draw more than 25,000 trade visitors from more than 150 countries.

Meeting point for leading American suppliers

The U.S. presence at MILIPOL Paris, featuring 70 industry leading companies such as Honeywell, FLIR Systems and Smith & Wesson, is organised by Kallman Worldwide, Inc., the official U.S. Representative of the show, in coordination with numerous government agencies, including the U.S. Commercial Service. The centerpiece of the national effort is the nearly 880 sqm (gross) U.S. International Pavilion, a destination for buyers looking for an efficient way to meet a critical mass of U.S. suppliers, and an on-site business hub for U.S. exhibitors looking to maximise their exposure and impact at the event.

“When U.S. companies commit to exhibit at MILIPOL Paris, they’re saying they believe in the power of this event to attract real business prospects and customers,” said Kallman Worldwide President and CEO, Tom Kallman. “As the organiser of the U.S International Pavilion, our team is proud to help our exhibitors capitalise on this influential international business opportunity to grow their share of the regional marketplace, and further  extend our nation’s global defense and security leadership.”

The 34 U.S. companies participating in the U.S. International Pavilion range from publicly traded stalwarts to privately held innovators. They represent a cross-section of leading American suppliers looking for new export opportunities and to strengthen regional business relationships.

Promoting U.S. exhibitors

Highlights of the U.S. presence include the PepperBall® next-generation, less-lethal system. Called “VKS”, for Variable Kinetic Speed”, the new system is a breakthrough in versatility, providing multi-mission capability and variable payloads in a single M4 styled platform. The company recently announced its first major deliveries to customers in the Middle East and Asia.

In addition to organising the national Pavilion, Kallman Worldwide is promoting all U.S. exhibitors with its “Ask America First” on-site advocacy campaign. The message will be placed prominently around the U.S. International Pavilion, integrated into hospitality and VIP events during the show, and promoted in social media (follow on Twitter @kallmanEWC).

“The United States is the world's biggest defense and security industry supplier, but that’s no guarantee that buyers will look to work with U.S. companies over others,” said Kallman. “As the organiser of the U.S. presence at MILIPOL Paris since 2005, we have a responsibility to advocate not only for our exhibitors, but for our nation in this highly competitive global marketplace. We want every visitor to ‘Ask America First’ at MILIPOL Paris 2015.”

In addition to representing MILIPOL Paris, Kallman Worldwide has represented MILIPOL Qatar since 2004, and in 2017 will add MILIPOL Asia-Pacific, incorporating Global Security Asia in Singapore, to its portfolio of defense and security events.
