3DX-Ray has announced its acquisition of ClanTect, a company specialising in human presence detection technology. This development significantly expands 3DX-Ray's portfolio in security technology, presenting new avenues in global security and critical infrastructure sectors. By integrating ClanTect's capabilities, 3DX-Ray aims to enhance its suite of X-ray screening and security inspection solutions, offering operators improved methods to identify threats in various operational settings.
ClanTect is known for its proprietary technology that excels at detecting concealed individuals in vehicles, containers, and confined spaces. It employs advanced vibration sensors and signal processing techniques that discern subtle movements induced by humans while filtering out environmental noise like wind and traffic vibrations. This technology is already in use for border security and custodial settings, providing innovative solutions against illegal migration, people smuggling, and unauthorised site access.
Expanding into adjacent detection technologies
The acquisition allows 3DX-Ray to diversify its capabilities beyond traditional X-ray systems by integrating adjacent detection technologies.
