Verkada has secured a substantial investment from CapitalG, valuing the company at $5.8 billion — a notable increase of $1.3 billion since its Series E funding round in February.
The fresh investment is expected to bolster Verkada's AI capabilities and may provide liquidity options for its employees. The announcement comes at a time when the company has surpassed $1 billion in annualised bookings.
AI-powered transformation
The transformative power of AI in enhancing organisational security was highlighted by Filip Kaliszan, Co-Founder and CEO of Verkada.

Currently, more than two million Verkada devices operate in 171 countries, aiding in the conversion of data into actionable intelligence to make security and operations more efficient. New AI features and platform updates
In a move signalling further innovation, Verkada recently introduced over 60 new AI features and platform updates designed to enhance the operational workflow of security personnel. These include capabilities such as AI-powered Unified Timeline and Operator View. The company reports a significant scaling in their operations, with devices recording over two million visitor check-ins monthly, managing eight million door locks daily, and handling three intercom calls every second.
