Wavestore has unveiled WaveView v6.44, its latest version of the video management system (VMS) aimed at reducing incident response times and optimising daily security operations.
The global supplier of VMS introduces several core enhancements such as Interactive Maps, a revamped device navigation system, and improved search and review workflows, all designed to enable operators, integrators, and end-users to work more efficiently.
Significance of timely responses
Sam Shalaby, CEO of Wavestore, highlighted the crucial role of time management in security, stating, “Security teams tell us that minutes lost during an incident can make the difference between containment and escalation.”
He further explained that with v6.44, efforts have been directed towards ensuring operators can quickly locate cameras, investigators can review footage without interfering with live operations, and integrators can deploy systems more smoothly.
Platform enhancements
Mark Claxton, Managing Director of Wavestore, noted the platform’s refinement, stating, “These improvements address the real-world pressures faced by operators and integrators every day.”
The enhancements are intended to improve functionality for various users, ranging from control room staff to forensic analysts, with the aim of enabling them to perform more effectively while requiring less training and experiencing fewer distractions.
