As part of its commitment to offering installers convenience, flexibility and value, Eaton’s Security business has announced the introduction of panel and keypad kits based around its industry leading Menvier and Scantronic security product lines. The decision to develop the control panel and keypad kits is the result of an extensive customer consultation, which allowed Eaton’s Security business to understand their specific requirements and develop solutions that meet real-life needs. Installers are now able to benefit from increased cost effectiveness and easier selection and ordering, as they just need to know the number of zones required. Ideal for residential & smaller commercial installations The Scantronic kits come in four variants which include an i-onEXD or i-onEX control panel and the latest keypad with built-in prox – the i-on30EXDKP, i-on30EXDLKP, i-on50EXDKP, i-on160EXDKP - making them ideal for residential and smaller commercial installations. Suitable for use in commercial environments such as educational establishments, offices and government buildings, the Menvier family of high-end control panels is supplied with keypads that include a built-in prox and two zones as standard. Keypads ensure maximum levels of functionality & interoperability Individual control panels and additional keypads can still be purchased for maintenance purposes. However, with the enhanced value that the new kits provide, that Eaton’s Security business believes that in the majority of cases it will be more cost effective to buy the complete package and keep the keypad as a spare. Regardless of which kit they are supplied with, all the keypads are compatible with the full range of Scantronic and Menvier panels, ensuring maximum levels of functionality and interoperability. ‘As one of the original pioneers of kit based solutions, I am delighted that we have now extended this format across the entire Scantronic and Menvier ranges,’ commented Martin Tweedie, Product Manager of Eaton’s Security business. ‘We take great pride in listening to our customers and, in turn, making our systems as convenient to use, install and maintain as possible, while at the same time enhancing value for money.

However, Eaton’s Security business has gone one step further and given the i-on1000EXKP 10 buses, 1,000 zones, 50 wards and 500m of cable. It has also integrated webserver functionality alongside USB and Ethernet ports that offer unrivalled connectivity options. Martin Tweedie, Product Manager of Eaton’s Security business, commented, “Our extensive research and development capabilities have allowed us to produce what can only be considered the next generation of control panel technology. The i-on range is synonymous with quality and reliability, and the features that we have built into the i-on1000EXKP means that it is sure to become a firm favourite with installers working on medium and large projects within a variety of sectors.”
