Pyronix announced an addition to its camera range with the launch of the brand-new LightCamera. The outdoor Wi-Fi LightCamera offers another layer of perimeter protection to properties, with powerful Full-HD performance, ultra-bright lights and active defence capabilities. “We’ve brought this product to market as we understand evolving end user requirements, whilst also ensuring that our installers can remain at the cutting edge of developments. The LightCamera provides installers additional sales opportunities, both on initial install and on recurring maintenance visits,” said Laurence Kenny, Pyronix Marketing Manager. Reduced false alarms Simple for professional installers to fit, whether replacing an existing external light or fitting from scratch, the new camera gives end users more from their security system, with customisable detection areas that ensure false alarms are kept to a minimum, as well as adjustable motion sensitivity and custom alarm response. “We’re delighted to bring such a camera to the market, that offers an increased level of interactivity and a wide feature set,” Laurence said. He continued: “The configuration options of the LightCamera not only gives end users more control over the device, but also gives installers the ability to fulfil most customer’s needs.” Full-HD video Fitted with a 270-degree PIR sensor, it provides every property with constant omnidirectional protection, whilst 1080p Full-HD video provides clear and crisp images day and night. When sensing changes in light conditions as the day progresses, the LightCamera automatically switches to night mode; utilising invisible IR light to deliver optimum and discreet coverage of outdoor spaces, whilst 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) reduces noise to deliver clear Full-HD images up to 18m, even in complete darkness. Equipped with dual lights that activate with the detection of motion, they produce a powerful combined brightness of 2500 lumens to illuminate the area and put any potential intruders in the spotlight, whilst the camera simultaneously sends snapshots of the activity to the always-connected app. This gives end users the opportunity to visually verify the activity before deciding whether to speak through the LightCamera with two-way audio or even manually sound the 100db siren. Built-in dual antenna The features don’t stop there either, with an IP65 weather rating, SD card compatibility for onboard recording and built-in dual antenna to ensure strong Wi-Fi connectivity. The LightCamera is built to last and perform. “We’re always looking at new and innovative ways to provide greater opportunity for early detection and prevention of break-ins,” Laurence said. “The LightCamera, coupled with our XDL12TT-WE external detector and Smart Device apps, offers users an effective first line of defence with increased awareness and security through video verification, whilst offering installers more installation options, retrofit possibilities and business development opportunities.“
Pyronix is delighted to announce the launch of its brand-new heat detector, the HEAT-WE. He continues: “By doing this, we maximise the longevity of our systems so that value is maximised for both installers and end users alike. The more options we can provide, the more opportunities our installers have to secure new business and upsell existing systems." Heat sensing element "Meanwhile, end users receive a system that meets their requirements and one which can evolve over time and continue to meet their changing needs in the future.” With a simple learning process, 10-year battery life on the heat sensing element and 2-year battery life on the radio module, this is the perfect upsell opportunity for every installation and maintenance visit.

The Nano-sized contact delivers exceptional long-life security performance that’s designed to disappear with the out-of-sight installation. “We’re really pleased to introduce such a convenient and flexible solution, that users may even forget is there,” Laurence Kenny, Pyronix Marketing Manager, said. As part of Pyronix’ ongoing commitment to support their valued customers, they’re now providing a small hygiene kit with every control panel. Introducing hygiene kit This small hygiene kit includes a mask, gloves and an alcohol wipe, to help their installers return to work safely during this uncertain time, while providing them and their customers with added reassurance. “We’ve introduced the hygiene kit as a free of charge item which installers can find in their control panel kits when purchasing through distribution. We want to help our customers get back to work safely and it will hopefully go some way into aiding our installers to adhere to government guidelines when returning to work,” Laurence Kenny, Pyronix Marketing Manager, said. Adhering to government guidelines As people across the country begin to go back to work, Pyronix has taken the step to help its installers do so as safely as possible. The hygiene kit is included as standard with every control panel to ensure installers are taking the necessary precautions to protect not only themselves, but their customers too. “The current situation around COVID-19 presents new challenges to all businesses. Whilst the hygiene kit we supply is not medical grade and shouldn’t replace installers carrying out proper assessments with regards risk within their business, we want to help our customers as much as possible to adhere to government guidelines when returning to work in people’s homes and businesses,” Laurence said.

Pyronix is delighted to provide even more value and capabilities to installers and users alike, with the addition of video verification to ProControl+. Now, using our Enforcer V10 control panel, Wi-Fi cameras and security and life safety peripherals, the system can be tailored to detect, notify and verify any activity. “We’re really pleased to add this latest feature to our ProControl+ app,” said Pyronix Marketing Manager, Laurence Kenny. "Video verification delivers fantastic upsell opportunities to video monitoring for our installers, while providing greater functions for the user; showing them exactly what activity has triggered an event or alarm.” The addition of video verification enables the linkage of Pyronix Full-HD Wi-Fi cameras to inputs on the system via the PyronixCloud. This simple setup process adds greater scope to security; providing a 25 second video clip directly to the user via ProControl+ when an event or alarm activation occurs. The clip, which can be downloaded and stored as an MP4 file, shows 15 seconds pre-alarm and 10 seconds post-alarm; allowing the user to truly verify the activation, before taking appropriate action. Voice push notification Whether it’s an existing system or maintainance, service can be offered to provide greater selling options for installers" For example, should an intruder be detected by an XDL12TT-WE outdoor detector, a push or voice push notification will be received by the user through their ProControl+ app, via the Enforcer V10 and PyronixCloud infrastructure. If this detector has been linked to an outdoor Mini Dome camera surveying the area, the user will also be provided with the 25 second video from the linked camera to verify the alarm. “By adding this new feature, we’re giving installers new services to offer their customers; expanding the security offering by providing real tangible benefits across both residential and commercial applications to users,” Laurence commented. "So, whether it’s an existing system, a maintenance visit or a brand-new installation, this added-value service can be offered to provide greater selling options for the installer and greater functions for the user. Simple to setup and deliver via the PyronixCloud, we want to make sure we continue to proactively provide more features, functions and capabilities via ProControl+.” Video verification for applications With video verification already added to ProControl+, more developments are in the pipeline “Now, the system not only alerts the user via voice push notification, but also shows exactly what activity has taken place on the system, so that appropriate action can be taken. Our objective is to continue to extend the potential of every installation and the level of function and value it adds to installers and users alike and we intend to do this as seamlessly and easily as possible.” Linking cameras with inputs can be set up to deliver video verification for various applications across the entire security system, from setting and unsetting, indoor detection, shock sensors and outdoor detectors, to life safety sensors, door and window contacts and even panic, hold-up and medical alerts; providing additional product upsell opportunities. With video, voice push notifications and now video verification already added to ProControl+ and many more developments in the pipeline, now’s the time to make the switch.

The specification does not stop there, with even more professional level features as standard, such as motion detection with live events and playback functionality; making the Pyronix range of Wi-Fi cameras ideal for any residential, small retail, commercial, healthcare or lifestyle applications. “A stepping stone to expanding installer markets and revenue, with high-quality video monitoring and surveillance capability, the new feature-laden cameras are set to expand user experience with reliable and cost-effective camera technology,” Laurence said.
Pyronix has announced the first wireless low-mounted external volumetric detector to be added to its range. The new XDL12TT-WE combines Pyronix Enforcer two-way wireless technology with dependable external detection protocols, including: Dual-Vision Pet Immune, Tri-Signal Detection Logic and Gaussian Frequency Modulation (GFM), to deliver a highly dependable wireless external detector. New dimension of external detection “This combination of Pyronix technologies brings a new dimension to external detection and to the market,” Pyronix Marketing Manager, Laurence Kenny, said. “When it comes to perimeter security, it is literally the first line of defence for any property. Large fences and locked gates can be effective deterrents, but not always the most practical or secure method. “What is clear, is that perimeter protection can play a vital role in deterring the intruder from attempting a break-in. This is why Pyronix has analysed external environments and the requirements for reliable and stable detection, to deliver an effective, easy-to-install wireless solution.” Tri-Signal Detection Logic The new XDL12TT-WE is IP55 weatherproof rated and consists of two independent passive infrared (PIR) sensors and one microwave (MW) sensor in one common housing. This Tri-Technology (TT) of the XDL12TT-WE delivers advanced outdoor protection. To identify the presence of an intruder, the XDL12TT-WE utilises Tri-Signal Detection Logic alongside TT, whereby all three sensors must be activated sequentially in quick succession to create an alarm. This heightens the detector’s immunity to false alarms and ensures optimum detection performance in external conditions. "Perimeter protection can play a vital role in deterring the intruder from attemptinga break-in" Along with Tri-Signal Detection Logic and TT, Pyronix has also pre-empted potential false alarm issues from the presence of pets or swaying vegetation, by including Dual-Vision Pet Immune and Anti-Sway Analytics features. The two PIRs of the XDL12TT-WE have a dedicated volumetric field of view, with the top PIR detecting outwards and up, while the bottom PIR detects outwards and down, without either crossing the central horizontal plane between them. False alarms kept to a minimum This setup of non-overlapping PIR sensors alongside Tri-Signal Detection Logic, delivers highly secure sequential detection and increases its tolerance to pet immunity. Anti-Sway Analytics digitally filters the environment to distinguish between the movement of trees and plants from the movements of an intruder, so that false alarm activations are kept to an absolute minimum. These external detection protocols then benefit from the advantages of Enforcer two-way wireless technology, with full supervision, anti-jamming and 128-bit wireless protocol encryption, to maximise the new XDL12TT-WE’s reliability; ensuring signals transmitted by the system are protected and any code-grabbing is prevented. Installation benefits It also brings with it a host of installation benefits, without the invasive nature of fitting wired peripherals. This increases the efficiency of the installation for customers, while providing a steadfast detector for end-users. For example, Instant Two-Way Device Control (ITDC) enables the instant wake-up or sleep of devices as the system is set or unset. Pyronix has also pre-empted potential false alarm issues from the presence of petsor swaying vegetation So, when the system is set, the XDL12TT-WE is instantly and constantly awake, without any sleep timers, unlike other devices on the market. When the system is unset, the XDL12TT-WE sleeps. This setup delivers enhanced security, with increased battery life. Wireless signal range In terms of the wireless signal, the new XDL12TT-WE’s high sensitivity receiver reduces the need for repeaters and therefore reduces the installation costs, as it is capable of a wireless signal range of up to 1.6km in open space. In addition, the high-sensitivity antenna of the XDL12TT-WE ensures that the signals being transmitted and received are as strong as possible. Utilising Gaussian Frequency Modulation (GFM) to spread the signal, while reducing unwanted noise and harmonics, enables the latest Pyronix detector to meet stringent European, ETSI and other worldwide standards. “As we continually look to improve and develop our offerings, the XDL12TT-WE is the latest innovation. Easy to fit and offering superb protection, the new XDL12TT-WE offers a fantastically flexible solution,” Laurence said.
