Pyronix is pleased to announce the release of its second-generation CO-WE detector - providing protection against carbon monoxide with newly added features. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless, tasteless and highly toxic gas that can be deadly if it accumulates in enclosed spaces. The CO-WE (2nd Generation) is an essential lifesaving device, which protects homes and families against this danger; raising the alarm locally via its 85dB sounder and remotely via connected Pyronix smart device apps, if CO is present. Enhanced features The main detection element features a fixed and non-replaceable L91 lithium battery, continuously detecting within a property and providing peace of mind for 10 years. The radio module which connects to the Enforcer has a replaceable CR123A battery, providing our usual lifespan of up to 2 years. Similarly, to the recently released HEAT-WE, the CO-WE (2nd Generation) now features a test button on the front of the detector. This is also used as the radio learn button, which cuts down installation time and prevents having to open the detector, to learn onto the panel. Laurence Kenny, Marketing Director, said: “We’re delighted to announce the second generation CO-WE to our expanding Life Safety range. It provides great new features such as the easy learn button and a superior 10-year battery life in the detector, providing peace of mind and excellent protection against carbon monoxide.” Additional benefits The CO-WE (2nd Generation) now also features self-diagnostics, meaning if there’s anything wrong in the detector itself, fault messaging within the main element will send the fault over to the panel and flashing LEDs on the detector will denote what the issue is. Radio features such as encrypted two-way wireless technology, Signal Strength Indicators (SSI) and one-push-to-learn are also included on the detector. “This release demonstrates our continuous commitment to advancements within our existing products, while also remaining focused on developing new products to bring to the market,” Laurence said.
Pyronix is delighted to launch the next level of smart device application for the security industry, HomeControl2.0. Making managing and controlling security systems faster and more efficient, HomeControl2.0 raises the bar with geofence alerts, biometric login, smart and intuitive navigation and the ability to evolve to the changing needs of the user. “We’re excited to bring HomeControl2.0 to the market; delivering even more features and functions in a highly advanced and simple-to-use application,” Laurence Kenny, Pyronix Marketing Manager, said. Built on a brand-new user interface that’s been developed to both enhance the day-to-day user experience and evolve over time, HomeControl2.0 provides the solution for now and the future. Geofence alerts system Whether a residential property or even multi-site management, HomeControl2.0 is the ideal solution" Extending the capabilities of security control, geofence alerts remind the user to arm/disarm their system as they enter/exit a designated geofence area up to 1000m from the property. Meanwhile, biometric login to the control panel means the user no longer has to enter their credentials each time they access their system via the app. “Analysing the market and listening to our customer feedback, we’re really pleased to deliver this new app,” Laurence said. He continues: “We want our installers to have all the tools they need to grow their business and deliver value to their end users. HomeControl2.0 offers that in abundance and provides a new platform for future developments.” Delivering extensive protection “The redesigned interface offers a new level of control and interactivity - an app that makes security easy, convenient and simple for both the user and the installer, while delivering extensive protection and peace of mind. Whether a residential property, small commercial property or even multi-site management, HomeControl2.0 is the ideal solution.” HomeControl2.0 is available on both Android and iOS platforms and downloadable via the Play Store or Apple App Store, connecting to Pyronix systems through the PyronixCloud infrastructure.
Pyronix announced an addition to its camera range with the launch of the brand-new LightCamera. The outdoor Wi-Fi LightCamera offers another layer of perimeter protection to properties, with powerful Full-HD performance, ultra-bright lights and active defence capabilities. “We’ve brought this product to market as we understand evolving end user requirements, whilst also ensuring that our installers can remain at the cutting edge of developments. The LightCamera provides installers additional sales opportunities, both on initial install and on recurring maintenance visits,” said Laurence Kenny, Pyronix Marketing Manager. Reduced false alarms Simple for professional installers to fit, whether replacing an existing external light or fitting from scratch, the new camera gives end users more from their security system, with customisable detection areas that ensure false alarms are kept to a minimum, as well as adjustable motion sensitivity and custom alarm response. “We’re delighted to bring such a camera to the market, that offers an increased level of interactivity and a wide feature set,” Laurence said. He continued: “The configuration options of the LightCamera not only gives end users more control over the device, but also gives installers the ability to fulfil most customer’s needs.” Full-HD video Fitted with a 270-degree PIR sensor, it provides every property with constant omnidirectional protection, whilst 1080p Full-HD video provides clear and crisp images day and night. When sensing changes in light conditions as the day progresses, the LightCamera automatically switches to night mode; utilising invisible IR light to deliver optimum and discreet coverage of outdoor spaces, whilst 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) reduces noise to deliver clear Full-HD images up to 18m, even in complete darkness. Equipped with dual lights that activate with the detection of motion, they produce a powerful combined brightness of 2500 lumens to illuminate the area and put any potential intruders in the spotlight, whilst the camera simultaneously sends snapshots of the activity to the always-connected app. This gives end users the opportunity to visually verify the activity before deciding whether to speak through the LightCamera with two-way audio or even manually sound the 100db siren. Built-in dual antenna The features don’t stop there either, with an IP65 weather rating, SD card compatibility for onboard recording and built-in dual antenna to ensure strong Wi-Fi connectivity. The LightCamera is built to last and perform. “We’re always looking at new and innovative ways to provide greater opportunity for early detection and prevention of break-ins,” Laurence said. “The LightCamera, coupled with our XDL12TT-WE external detector and Smart Device apps, offers users an effective first line of defence with increased awareness and security through video verification, whilst offering installers more installation options, retrofit possibilities and business development opportunities.“
Pyronix is delighted to announce the launch of its brand-new heat detector, the HEAT-WE. Part of the ever-expanding life safety range, the thermistor-based detector adds yet another option to installations; protecting properties, families and delivering even greater peace of mind. “Recognising that security is consistently developing, we’re delighted to expand our life safety range with the HEAT-WE,” Laurence Kenny, Pyronix Marketing Manager, said. Wireless heat sensor The HEAT-WE two-way wireless heat sensor is the ideal solution to install in areas such as kitchens, for accurate and dependable detection of rising heat levels which may indicate a fire, with prompt push notification of any alarms via the always-connected app. With a fixed detection heat of 57°C, the two-way wireless peripheral provides continuous and reliable safety sensing which can be easily and efficiently added to any Pyronix system compatible with Enforcer wireless devices. The more options we can provide, the more opportunities our installers have to secure new business" “We want our systems to be the most complete out there, which is why we’re always looking to add to our range,” Laurence said. He continues: “By doing this, we maximise the longevity of our systems so that value is maximised for both installers and end users alike. The more options we can provide, the more opportunities our installers have to secure new business and upsell existing systems." Heat sensing element "Meanwhile, end users receive a system that meets their requirements and one which can evolve over time and continue to meet their changing needs in the future.” With a simple learning process, 10-year battery life on the heat sensing element and 2-year battery life on the radio module, this is the perfect upsell opportunity for every installation and maintenance visit.

Delivering exceptional wireless range in open space and an outstanding 2-year battery life, this latest peripheral makes choosing a wireless magnetic contact a whole lot easier.
As part of Pyronix’ ongoing commitment to support their valued customers, they’re now providing a small hygiene kit with every control panel. Introducing hygiene kit This small hygiene kit includes a mask, gloves and an alcohol wipe, to help their installers return to work safely during this uncertain time, while providing them and their customers with added reassurance. “We’ve introduced the hygiene kit as a free of charge item which installers can find in their control panel kits when purchasing through distribution. We want to help our customers get back to work safely and it will hopefully go some way into aiding our installers to adhere to government guidelines when returning to work,” Laurence Kenny, Pyronix Marketing Manager, said. Adhering to government guidelines As people across the country begin to go back to work, Pyronix has taken the step to help its installers do so as safely as possible. The hygiene kit is included as standard with every control panel to ensure installers are taking the necessary precautions to protect not only themselves, but their customers too. “The current situation around COVID-19 presents new challenges to all businesses. Whilst the hygiene kit we supply is not medical grade and shouldn’t replace installers carrying out proper assessments with regards risk within their business, we want to help our customers as much as possible to adhere to government guidelines when returning to work in people’s homes and businesses,” Laurence said.

Pyronix is delighted to provide even more value and capabilities to installers and users alike, with the addition of video verification to ProControl+. Now, using our Enforcer V10 control panel, Wi-Fi cameras and security and life safety peripherals, the system can be tailored to detect, notify and verify any activity. “We’re really pleased to add this latest feature to our ProControl+ app,” said Pyronix Marketing Manager, Laurence Kenny. "Video verification delivers fantastic upsell opportunities to video monitoring for our installers, while providing greater functions for the user; showing them exactly what activity has triggered an event or alarm.” The addition of video verification enables the linkage of Pyronix Full-HD Wi-Fi cameras to inputs on the system via the PyronixCloud. This simple setup process adds greater scope to security; providing a 25 second video clip directly to the user via ProControl+ when an event or alarm activation occurs. The clip, which can be downloaded and stored as an MP4 file, shows 15 seconds pre-alarm and 10 seconds post-alarm; allowing the user to truly verify the activation, before taking appropriate action. Voice push notification Whether it’s an existing system or maintainance, service can be offered to provide greater selling options for installers" For example, should an intruder be detected by an XDL12TT-WE outdoor detector, a push or voice push notification will be received by the user through their ProControl+ app, via the Enforcer V10 and PyronixCloud infrastructure. If this detector has been linked to an outdoor Mini Dome camera surveying the area, the user will also be provided with the 25 second video from the linked camera to verify the alarm. “By adding this new feature, we’re giving installers new services to offer their customers; expanding the security offering by providing real tangible benefits across both residential and commercial applications to users,” Laurence commented. "So, whether it’s an existing system, a maintenance visit or a brand-new installation, this added-value service can be offered to provide greater selling options for the installer and greater functions for the user. Simple to setup and deliver via the PyronixCloud, we want to make sure we continue to proactively provide more features, functions and capabilities via ProControl+.” Video verification for applications With video verification already added to ProControl+, more developments are in the pipeline “Now, the system not only alerts the user via voice push notification, but also shows exactly what activity has taken place on the system, so that appropriate action can be taken. Our objective is to continue to extend the potential of every installation and the level of function and value it adds to installers and users alike and we intend to do this as seamlessly and easily as possible.” Linking cameras with inputs can be set up to deliver video verification for various applications across the entire security system, from setting and unsetting, indoor detection, shock sensors and outdoor detectors, to life safety sensors, door and window contacts and even panic, hold-up and medical alerts; providing additional product upsell opportunities. With video, voice push notifications and now video verification already added to ProControl+ and many more developments in the pipeline, now’s the time to make the switch.
