James Beer

James Beer is on the Board of Directors for ForeScout Technologies. He also serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of McKesson Corporation. As CFO, Beer is responsible for overseeing all financial functions for McKesson. Beer is also a member of McKesson’s executive committee.  Before joining McKesson, Beer served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Symantec Corporation, managing the worldwide finance organisation with responsibility for accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, investor relations, corporate development, purchasing, and audit. Prior to Symantec, Beer was Chief Financial Officer of AMR Corp. and American Airlines, AMR’s principal subsidiary, responsible for financial planning and analysis, treasury, corporate development, accounting, tax, purchasing, and investor relations. In his 15 years at American Airlines, Beer held a variety of management positions in finance and operations, including leading the airline’s European and Asia Pacific businesses.  Beer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
