Vismo, a prominent player in the critical event management sector, has announced the appointment of Tom Cowling as its new CEO. Cowling transitions from his previous role at Ernst & Young, where he served as a business development director.
His primary focus at Vismo will be expanding the user base of the Vismo Locate & Protect App, which currently supports more than 450,000 users. Cowling expressed his enthusiasm about joining Vismo, stating, “I’m very excited to have joined such a talented team, which has built a number of innovative products, all centred around the crucial purpose of keeping people safe at work.”
Developing new routes
Vismo’s Chairman and Founder, Tim Williams, warmly welcomed Cowling, acknowledging the timely nature of his appointment as Vismo experiences significant growth in both the US and UK, which represent key markets.

Public sector engagement
Before his tenure at Ernst & Young, Tom Cowling was active in fast-paced B2B environments, similar to Vismo's operations, both in the UK and abroad. His experience involves enhancing business growth through the development of new market pathways and expanding existing clientele. Commenting on his past experience, he said, “My experience at Ernst & Young in deal origination and the development of key strategic partnerships, has given me an excellent foundation for moving into the role of CEO at Vismo - and building new relationships with private and public sector organisations in and North America and the UK.”
Cowling, a local resident with a BSc from the University of Edinburgh, regards the field of critical event management as dynamically evolving, enhancing the company’s potential to support clients effectively.
