  • WatchGuard expands Cloud PSA, integrating ConnectWise Manage, Autotask PSA, and HaloPSA.
  • Unified Security Platform improves MSP efficiency, automating workflows and boosting SLA compliance.
  • WatchGuard Agent offers true single-agent solution for seamless, multi-platform security management.

WatchGuard Technologies has announced an extensive expansion of its WatchGuard Cloud Professional Services Automation (PSA).

This expansion introduces extensive native support for ConnectWise Manage, Autotask PSA, and HaloPSA, aiming to integrate its entire range of services such as Network, Identity, Endpoint, and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) into the existing systems that Managed Service Providers (MSPs) use daily.

Efficiency in security operations

These updates allow for seamless integration, eliminating the reliance on spreadsheets

The expansion is designed to streamline security operations and adapt to the unique business models of its partners.

As a recent enhancement to WatchGuard's Unified Security Platform, these updates allow for seamless integration, eliminating the reliance on spreadsheets and manual processes.

The system’s native integrations and automated workflows for tasks such as asset synchronisation, billing, ticketing, and contract management, aim to enhance MSP efficiency, improve Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance, and elevate profitability.

Integration with ConnectWise environment

Chris Miller, Vice President at Pacific Office Automation, highlighted the advantages of this integration by emphasising how many cybersecurity platforms lack significant PSA connectivity.

"Directly from my ConnectWise environment, my team can now instantly view customers and product licenses, while alerts automatically generate and resolve tickets. Role-based access and multi-tenant visibility streamline account transitions and strengthen compliance," said Miller.

This integration advances operational efficiency, allowing technicians to devote more time to customer service.

WatchGuard Agent introduction

MSPs have expressed dissatisfaction with managing multiple agents. In response, WatchGuard introduces its WatchGuard Agent, a single, modular solution compatible with FireCloud clients, endpoint security products, and various platforms including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

Managed via WatchGuard Cloud, this development accelerates onboarding, reduces maintenance efforts, and simplifies upgrades, providing a comprehensive tool to monitor client security.

A unified security approach

By spearheading development toward a unified agent solution, WatchGuard offers MSPs a cohesive platform.

According to Ben Oster, Vice President of Product Management Operations at WatchGuard, "With full integration across our Unified Security Platform, including Firebox, FireCloud, AuthPoint, Endpoint Security, and ThreatSync, we’re delivering unified detection and response, automated workflows, integrated MDR capabilities, and actionable insights that empower our partners and customers with true 24/7 threat protection."

The company aims to achieve comprehensive automation from alert to invoice.

Recognised Industry Contribution

WatchGuard has been acknowledged as a Champion in the 2025 Canalys Cybersecurity Matrix, affirming its dedication to pioneering development and partner success. Jessica Davis, Principal Analyst at Omdia, noted the growing significance of cybersecurity as part of the core stack for MSP operations.

"As the threat landscape has evolved, cybersecurity is becoming a third component of that core stack. MSPs expanding their service portfolios need deep integrations between their security platforms and their PSA/RMM platforms to drive efficiency and profitability," she remarked.

Such integrations are vital for providing simplified management, automated workflows, and a unified platform adaptable to customer demands.
