iDenfy, a prominent provider of RegTech solutions offering identity verification and fraud prevention tools, has incorporated MojeID into its electronic identity verification software. This new integration introduces a digital ID method specifically for the Czech market, enabling businesses to verify Czech citizens through their established payment information using iDenfy's official MojeID connection without requiring a physical document during onboarding.
MojeID, primarily used in the Czech Republic, is a banking-based identity verification system serving approximately 1.3 million individuals. With the Czech population totaling around 10.5 million, this represents access to public, government services, and e-banking for around 12 percent of the population through a single secure identification document.
Level of assurance
Certified at the eIDAS Level of Assurance Substantial, MojeID operates under the OIDC protocol, holding official legal authority for varied verification and onboarding necessities. It requires the presentation of a Czech user’s first name, last name, and date of birth as fulfilling basic Know Your Customer (KYC) criteria.

According to Regulation (EU) 2024/1183, all member states of the EU are required to implement the EU Digital Identity Wallet by the close of 2026 for their citizens and residents. This regulation mandates banks, payment services, and electronic money institutions to accommodate wallet-based credentials as Strong Customer Authentication measures. MojeID’s infrastructure aligns with these guidelines at the Substantial assurance level.
Non-document verification capabilities
Global research by Fenergo indicates that businesses invest approximately $72.9 million annually on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and KYC compliance. However, slow or cumbersome onboarding processes result in client attrition. For entities dealing with Czech consumers, failing to utilize a bank-backed credential can mean unnecessary document requirements during onboarding, despite the availability of a government-recognised alternative.
iDenfy’s expanded non-document verification setup now featuring MojeID operates in conjunction with the platform’s traditional document-based KYC process. Businesses can configure the system to direct users towards an electronic identity verification route when document capture fails or yields poor image quality, an occurrence shown by iDenfy’s data as a frequent cause for session abandonment.

Domantas Ciulde, CEO of iDenfy, stated, “Bank-backed digital identity in the Czech Republic, with over 1.1 million users, has already adopted MojeID as its standard credential to access both public and private sector services online. Our clients serving that market can now meet Czech users on those terms and present a verification path that feels familiar and requires no additional physical document capture at the point of onboarding.”
Credential-based identity options
iDenfy's verification platform supports over 16,000 government-issued documents across more than 200 countries and territories. The inclusion of MojeID enhances the list of banks offering a non-document option for business user verification, combining document-based and credential-based identity verification into one unified system. Cases unresolved automatically are escalated to iDenfy’s compliance review team, operating 24/7 to address identity and onboarding issues.
Domantas Ciulde further elaborated, “MojeID has an eIDAS Level of Assurance and is legally recognised under EU regulation. For our clients, adding MojeID is not just an onboarding improvement. It is a specialised compliance-grade solution for one of Central Europe's most actively developing digital identity markets.” Support for MojeID is now live across iDenfy’s identity verification platform.
