Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) has announced that its JamAlert™ technology, which detects cellular jamming, has achieved UL 2610 Certification.
This certification, essential for commercial premises security alarm units and systems, outlines the necessary standards for the design, construction, and performance of commercial intrusion and holdup alarm systems. Receiving this certification signifies a key achievement for JamAlert, offering independent confirmation of its reliability and effectiveness, while broadening its usability in regulated and compliance-focused settings.
Addressing cellular jamming challenges
Cellular jamming represents an increasing concern within the security sector, making the validation of detection solutions a complex issue. Due to restrictions on using cellular jamming devices, practical field testing has not been viable for dealers or end users.

The UL certification process bridges this gap by providing a controlled evaluation of JamAlert against UL standards, confirming its intended performance under critical circumstances. This verification provides confidence for security professionals and clients that jamming detection is dependable without necessitating field evaluations.
Ensuring continuous alarm communication
“Achieving UL certification for JamAlert is an important step forward for both our dealers and their customers,” said Brad Tucker, Vice President of Product Management and Support. “It provides the third-party validation the industry has been looking for, while also enabling deployment in applications where UL Listed components are required.”
With the UL certification, JamAlert is now optimally positioned for use in diverse commercial and enterprise scenarios, particularly those with stringent compliance, insurance, or AHJ requirements. This development simplifies the ability for dealers to specify JamAlert in projects mandating UL-listed equipment, facilitating smoother approvals and broadening business opportunities. JamAlert integrates effectively with DMP or other alarm systems, offering detection and alerts for potential cellular jamming activity, thus contributing to the assurance of uninterrupted alarm communication.
