Commvault has expanded its identity resilience portfolio to encompass support for Okta, enabling organisations to swiftly recover their Okta environments from issues such as misconfigurations, operational disruptions, and cyberattacks driven by identity challenges.
This development builds on Commvault's existing solutions designed to safeguard identity systems.
Challenges with Okta's platform
Despite Okta's platform being engineered for resilience and to mitigate identity-based threats, disruptions can still occur due to human error or malicious interference. Such incidents can lock out users, prevent applications from authenticating, and potentially bring operations to a standstill.
The ensuing impact can result in revenue losses, reduced productivity, and visible service downtime for customers within a very brief timeframe. Many organisations continue to depend on manual scripts and makeshift methods to restore their identity environments, which can amplify downtime and elevate operational risks.
Automated recovery for organisations
Commvault addresses this vulnerability by delivering automated protection and detailed, point-in-time recovery for essential Okta objects and settings. By integrating secure, unchangeable storage with precise recovery capabilities, organisations can minimise disruptions and restore access promptly.
This enhancement in identity resilience is set to be introduced through public Early Access come spring 2026, with a general release anticipated in summer 2026.
