Videx Security has introduced a new VR Vandal Resistant Ex Series keypad to complement the EX keypad range. The keypad features a tough 12 gauge stainless steel fascia, which fits into the company's 4000 Series modular vandal resistant door entry systems.  The VR Vandal Resistant EX Series keypad is designed for both external and internal installations and includes backlit metallic keys. The keypad can be either surface or flush mounted and combined with an intercom, video intercom or standalone.

The keypad has an easy step-by-step programming menu and includes 99 programmable user codes each up to 8 digits.  There are two relay outputs and also an input to trigger the relay from a push to exit button.  Audible and visual indications highlight if a code is correct or incorrect and will also guide the user through the programming menu.

In addition to the 4000 Vandal Resistant version Videx are able to offer a number of different styles in the EX range, this includes a dual technology unit which, in addition to the features of the EX keypads, incorporates a proximity fob/card reader allowing either fob or coded access, or for higher security applications both fob and card.
