Allied Universal®, a major provider of security and facility services, has announced the appointment of Paul E. Masto as the vice president of business development for its Enhanced Protection Services division.
Masto comes with an extensive background of 25 years at the United States Secret Service, having served in key roles on the Presidential and Vice Presidential Protective Divisions during the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. His career highlights include the development of layered security systems for political candidates and leading security details for foreign dignitaries.

Masto's previous role as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Las Vegas Field Office saw his leadership in protective operations and criminal investigations, where the office achieved top rankings in asset forfeitures and seizures among all Secret Service Field Offices.

In addition to a notable tenure on the Secret Service's Counter Assault Team, Masto's portfolio includes acting as co-site supervisor for the Utah Olympic Park during the 2002 Winter Olympics, coordinating the efforts of approximately 750 federal agents and National Guard troops.
His government service saw him overseeing numerous federal and state arrests across New York, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Las Vegas field offices. Beyond his government service, Masto was the founder of Universal Security Specialists, a firm dedicated to providing customised security assessments and operational analysis for high-net-worth clients globally.

In addition to his government service, Masto previously founded and led Universal Security Specialists, a global security consulting firm specialising in customised security assessments and enterprise-wide vulnerability evaluations and operational analysis for high-net-worth individuals.
