D-Link’s DCS-6110 is a high-performance fixed dome network camera, ideal for the home or office. When mounted indoors in a wall or ceiling as recommended, the DCS-6110 is nearly immune to malicious tampering and is well-suited for confined locations such as elevators and stairwells. VGA Progressive CMOS technology delivers exceptional picture quality. The DCS-6110 supports simultaneous dual-streaming for live monitoring and recording. Bundled 32-channel recording software simplifies the process of managing multiple IP cameras. The built-in Samba client for network attached storage (NAS) eliminates the need for a direct connection to a PC or any additional equipment to capture and transfer images. 

 

The live camera feed can be pulled from a 3G cellular network by using a compatible cell phone or PDA with a 3G video player. This feature offers users a flexible and convenient way to remotely monitor a home or office in real time from anywhere within their 3GPP service area. Real-time video is available in MPEG-4 and JPEG compression formats with VGA/QVGA/QQVGA resolution.

 

This camera comes with a built-in 802.3af compliant Power Over Ethernet (PoE) module, which eases the installation process and also gives users the freedom to place the camera wherever needed.  In addition, a standard 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet port is provided for convenient connection to an Ethernet network or to a broadband Internet via a gateway router. The camera can be accessed and viewed as a device on the network.

 

The DCS-6110 is equipped with a 3.3 - 12 mm varifocal lens that allows you to adjust the focus length on desired objects. With a shorter focal length, you will get a wider field of view, whereas a longer focal length narrows the field of view and allows you to zoom in on an area of interest.

 

This network camera supports the Universal Plug-n-Play feature, which allows computers running on Windows 2000/XP/Vista to automatically recognize the camera and add it to the network. Sign up with one of the free Dynamic DNS services available on the web to assign a name and domain to the camera (e.g. mycamera.dlinkddns.com), and remotely access the camera without having to remember its IP address. You may also view up to 32 cameras from a central location using D-ViewCam. D-ViewCam includes a robust set of features including automated e-mail alerts which can instantly inform administrators of suspicious or unusual activities.
