Brivo's cloud-based PACS and software as a service (SaaS) business model create a compelling combination for any organisation
Brivo was recognised by GSN for its HSPD-12 and FIPS-201 compliance solution

Brivo Systems LLC, leader in cloud applications for security management, recently announced that for the 2nd year in a row, Brivo took the honour for “Best Integrated System, HSPD-12 and FIPS-201 Compliance” at the 4th Annual Homeland Security Awards, sponsored by Government Security News.

Brivo offers two innovative solutions, Aparato and CloudPass designed to serve the unique needs of government for managing enterprise-wide physical access control systems (PACS). Brivo's products have a proven track record of deployment at the local, state and federal levels.

“We are very pleased to have been recognised by GSN for the second year in a row for our HSPD-12 and FIPS-201 Compliance solution,” said Brivo EVP, John Szczygiel. ”We have made a strong commitment to providing advanced PACS solutions for our government clients so they can leverage cloud computing to increase agency agility and reduce costs. Brivo's unique capabilities in cloud-based PACS and our software as a service (SaaS) business model create a compelling combination for any organisation looking to bring their physical security program into 2013 and well beyond.”

Each year hundreds of nominations are made, but only a handful are chosen as the best solutions for the critical Homeland Security market. All winners were honoured at a festive dinner GSN hosted on 29 November in the Washington, DC Convention Center ballroom, where hundreds of industry and government officials were in attendance.

One of the highlights at the dinner was the presentation of the GSN/Raytheon Award for Distinguished Leadership and Innovation in Public Safety and Security to Richard Reed, Deputy Assistant to the President for Homeland Security. Reed delivered an insightful keynote address to an audience of industry executives and government officials at the federal, state and local levels.

The winners were selected by a panel of objective judges, according to Jacob Goodwin, Editor-in-Chief of Government Security News. "We received an outstanding group of entries and have handed winners’ plaques to an exceptional group of companies and government agencies," said Goodwin.
