The two new models are named as SRD-1640 16 channel and SRD-840 eight channel stand-alone DVRs
The two new economically priced DVRs are apt for smaller scale applications

Samsung Techwin America, a global supplier of  video surveillance and security products combining superior performance and value, debuted two new DVRs here at ASIS 2012. The SRD-1640 16 channel and SRD-840 eight channel stand-alone DVRs feature high quality CIF recording in real time, across all channels as well as the latest technology for web access and remote monitoring. Offered at an attractive price point, the DVRs are the perfect recording solution for smaller scale applications such as retail and convenience stores or offices.

“Our new stand-alone DVRs give the small business owner the benefits of Samsung’s advanced technology without over-burdening their resources,” said Frank De Fina, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Samsung Techwin America. “With this introduction, Samsung continues to provide high performance products that meet a variety of user applications and needs.”

The new DVRs deliver real time recording at CIF resolution for each channel and each can be configured separately for quality and privacy masking. Up to 480fps recording is available on the SRD-1640 and up to 240fps on the SRD-840. The units feature SATA I/F HDD support and video storage is optimised with the latest H.264 compression technology. The compact units include four audio inputs as well as featuring two USB ports for back-up or export of video data. Anytime, anywhere monitoring is made possible with versatile options for web access and remote monitoring using a PC or smartphone.

Additional features include alarm inputs with remote notification via e-mail capability; Ethernet connectivity; and RS-485 (half) for P/T/Z control.
