Commvault, a prominent provider of data protection and cyber resilience solutions for hybrid cloud environments, has recently announced key appointments for its North Europe region.
Martin Gittins, who joined Commvault earlier this year, has been appointed as the Area Vice President (AVP), while Mark Molyneux takes on the role of Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the area.
Leadership role for Martin Gittins
Previously, Gittins garnered extensive experience overseeing Strategic Accounts at Cohesity
In his new capacity as AVP for North Europe, Gittins is tasked with driving growth, leadership, and strategic initiatives in this significant market for Commvault. Having joined the company in February, he initially managed Strategic Accounts for the EMEA region, centering on the top 100 EMEA enterprise accounts of Commvault.
Previously, Gittins garnered extensive experience overseeing Strategic Accounts at Cohesity and worked with enterprise accounts at major companies, such as Hitachi Vantara, Dell EMC, and HPE.
“I’m delighted to step into this expanded role at such a critical time for our customers and partners in North Europe,” remarked Martin Gittins, adding “The threat landscape is evolving and the pressure on business leaders is growing. Commvault plays a pivotal role in helping customers advance resilience, achieve minimum viability, and remain in a state of continuous business. Resilience is no longer a nice-to-have, it’s a business priority.”
Proven expertise recognised
Richard Gadd, Senior Vice President for EMEA at Commvault, expressed confidence in Gittins' new appointment, stating, “I’m pleased that Martin is taking on this new position in the company. His proven track record, deep understanding of the region, and commitment to empowering teams will be instrumental as we continue to expand our impact across North Europe and deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers.”
Introducing Mark Molyneux as Field CTO
The company also introduces Mark Molyneux as the Field CTO for North Europe. Molyneux brings a wealth of experience, having formerly served as EMEA CTO at Cohesity, along with credentials as a certified DORA compliance specialist and digital operational resilience officer.
His extensive 35-year career includes advisory roles at major IT and financial entities in the UK and leadership positions in storage, data protection, virtualisation, and cloud solutions at Barclays.
Mark Molyneux highlighted the importance of his new role, stating, “Cyber resilience is a critical element of the modern business. I look forward to working closely with the wider team to help our customers and partners strengthen their resilience posture, advance recoveries, and stay a step ahead of evolving threats.”
Commitment to strengthening cyber resilience
Darren Thomson, Field CTO for EMEAI at Commvault, shared his enthusiasm about the new appointments: “We’re thrilled to have Mark join our team as we continue to help our customers in the region strengthen their cyber resilience posture.
