Compliant with all IEEE 802.3 variants (u/ab/x/z), the new switches have up to 8 Fast or Gigabit Ethernet ports, with up to 2 additional Dual Speed SFP ports for data uplink, and as with all AMG Managed ‘Plus’ switches, a console port as standard, and a web-browser interface for configuration of all aspects of the device. Ian attained the Maritime Radio General Certificate (Radio Officers ticket) at The Merchant Navy College, Greenhithe, and subsequently achieved CCNA and CCNP certification. He is married to June and is the proud dad of two daughters. In his spare time he likes to keep fit with long walks and occasional games of Table Tennis (having once been a qualified ETTA Table Tennis Coach, coaching the Junior Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire performance squads).
