The TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program helps schools enhance security

STANLEY Security, a leader in providing schools with safer learning environments, will announce the four winning schools of its $500,000 TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program in the afternoon on Thursday, January 9. The school with the most votes will be awarded a $200,000 grant, while three runners-up will receive grants of $100,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services to help each fund a safer campus.

The TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program, established by STANLEY Security in 2013 to help K-12 schools enhance school security, offered U.S. schools the opportunity to receive security products and services through a half-million dollar grant initiative. During the 45-day nomination period between September 13 and October 28 of last year, nearly 1,000 schools were nominated from around the country, with at least one school represented from every state in the continental U.S.

Once nominations were finalized, the voting process began and schools rallied their students, teachers and communities to encourage daily voting either online at www.stanleysaferschools.com, or by text message. Voting ended at 11:59 pm EST on December 13. STANLEY will make presentations to officials from the winning schools on Friday, January 10.
