MySOS is at the cutting edge of lone worker protection with one button alarm activation, GPS tracking and locating, two-way voice communications
MySOS is also fully certified to all elements of BS 8484 and BS 5979, the standard for alarm receiving centres

Skyguard, Europe’s premier personal safety service for lone workers and those at risk, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Secured by Design’ accreditation for its innovative MySOS personal safety device.

The MySOS, exclusively developed by Skyguard, has met the extremely stringent specifications set by Secured by Design, the official UK initiative created by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) that supports the principles of ‘designing out crime’ through the use of high-quality innovative products and processes. The MySOS is now externally approved to BS 8484: the British Standard for lone worker device services and can now carry the ‘Police Preferred Specification’ status which guarantees national Police approval of its use.

The MySOS, Europe’s smallest personal safety device joins Skyguard’s GEMshield rugged lone worker alarm in achieving the coveted award. The ‘Police Preferred Specification’ provides end users with reassurance that the personal alarm is effective in assisting lone workers and those at risk in an emergency. Skyguard’s MySOS is one of a very select few lone worker devices to be granted the Police’s national approval.

“We’re very proud to be awarded ACPO’s Secured by Design accreditation for the MySOS” says James Murray, CEO of Skyguard. “Skyguard has a history of producing first-class, innovative personal safety alarms. With ACPO granting this prestigious accolade, the MySOS is fully certified and compliant to the highest industry standards.”

It confirms what we already know, that Skyguard provides the premier personal safety service for lone workers and those at risk.”

As well as achieving ACPO’s Secured by Design for their personal alarms, Skyguard’s service is fully certified to all elements of BS 8484 and BS 5979 (Cat II): The standard for alarm receiving centres.

And the MySOS, Europe’s smallest personal safety device is at the cutting edge of lone worker protection. With one button alarm activation, GPS tacking and locating, two-way voice communications, speed dial and voice memo (amber alert), there is no better product on the market today to help protect users and fulfil employer’s Duty of Care. Starting at just £9.95 per month for full 24/7 response, it’s also one of the most cost-effective solutions in the UK.
