TDSi team members came wearing red item of clothing & enjoyed selection of red-coloured foods

TDSi supported the event raising awareness about health issues

The team at integrated security solutions manufacturer TDSi recently supported the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Wear it. Beat It’ fundraising day by wearing red and enjoying a fine selection of red food.

Embracing the spirit of the event, the TDSi team members each came wearing a red item of clothing (donating £1 each to do so) and enjoyed a delicious selection of red-coloured foods - including home-baked cakes, sweets, jellies, fruit and fruit-flavoured drinks, along with a selection of suitably coloured delicatessen meats. The event has a serious side though, raising awareness of health issues. The charity estimates that one in four people will suffer from heart and circulatory diseases at some point.

Sarah Phillips, Product and Marketing Manager at TDSi commented, “As a company we are very socially aware and believe in supporting good causes. As a team we raised an impressive £70 for BHF, which goes towards life-saving research and to combat life-threatening diseases. We also had a great time, sharing in the fun and good natured fundraising event with the whole team taking part and supporting a very worthy cause.”

The event follows a charity Bake Off challenge held at the company’s Poole office in November in aid of the Boo charity. Members of the TDSi team competed to produce the best sweet treats as judged by a panel from the company.
