LEGIC and Oce's Licence partnership
Use of contactless LEGIC technology in Océ's office opens new possibilities
The Licence partnership between Océ and LEGIC® yields innovative office solutions.

Océ (Switzerland) AG, a well-known provider of highly developed printing and copying systems, is a new licence partner of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, a leading developer of contactless smart card technology for personal identification purposes.  Océ now integrates contactless technology into its office solutions and offers customers even more comfortable and secure applications in the field of office automation.

The use of contactless LEGIC technology in Océ's office solutions opens new possibilities in the field of copier and printing authorisation and cost accounting.  For example, printing and copying tasks can only be carried out on presentation of an employee card.  The variety of LEGIC based applications thus increases.  In addition to time and attendance, access control or electronic payment systems, office automation applications move into the focus of LEGIC technology.

Reto Pieren, project manager at Océ (Switzerland) AG, is convinced that, thanks to the licence partnership, Océ can open up to new areas of business: "The market for contactless applications in the office automation field has huge development potential.  Our collaboration with LEGIC will enable us to play a central role in this market and to offer technologically advanced solutions.  We can thus meet the increasing demands of our customers."

"This partnership is interesting for both parties," states Dr Otto Eggimann, Vice President Sales & Business Development at LEGIC.  "Integrating our technology into Océ's modern office solutions means greater control and discretion, as well as cost reductions, for users.  Once again, LEGIC end users can benefit from the simple multi-functional capacities of LEGIC cards and enjoy further security, innovation and savings in their business processes."
