LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the worldwide developer of secure contactless smart card technologies for personal identification applications announces a Licensing Agreement with Nortech Control Systems Limited, the UK-based provider for access control and parking solutions.

This new partnership between LEGIC and Nortech Control Systems Limited will offer great advantages for existing and new customers, as this will lead to the development of various new innovative applications in building access control, personal identification, car parking and physically-challenged access solutions for end-users.

Following this agreement, Nortech will manufacture, using LEGIC's contactless smart card technology, cost-efficient high-quality readers, which combine robust device, indoor and outdoor use functionality with modern attractive design.  A keyboard version and biometric features will also be available.  Nortech's readers are able to output data in Wiegand, Clock & Data or serial data formats, making it simple to upgrade sites using existing wiring.

The Nortech contactless reader solutions will be a powerful tool to expand functionality of building access to multiple applications such as authentication, electronic payment and PC-log on security systems.  LEGIC's smart card technology for personal contactless identification, with its up to 127 applications, all-in-one card or other credentials, allows for countless integrated and multi-functional applications.  The new solutions will offer endless possibilities with comprehensive security for end-users.

"We are delighted to work with Nortech Control Systems Limited," says Dr Otto Eggimann, Vice President Sales & Business Development.  "The diversity of their offering in physical access and parking automation along with their system capability makes Nortech Control Systems Limited the ideal partner to cover the growing demand for LEGIC solutions in the United Kingdom," adds Eggimann.
