Over 40 MESSOA SDF416U cameras secure Port of Haifa in Israel

The Port of Haifa is the largest of Israel's international seaports. A huge crane is used to move cargo. Operating the crane is difficult, so the MESSOA SDF416U has been installed to help control it. The SDF416U was chosen because it delivers reliable IP67 waterproof housing. It is suited for the rough outdoor environment of a seaport.

Surveillance is crucial to prevent theft and ensure the safety of the goods moving through the port. Coastal weather can wreak havoc on cameras. One of the greatest challenges to the port's surveillance operations is the huge volume of windblown sand.

The local MESSOA partner, installed a CCTV solution of over 40 MESSOA SDF416U cameras on crane's in Haifa port. Each crane has four cameras to observe and control it. The MESSOA SDF416U housing is rated IP67 and is very tolerant of temperature and humidity changes.

An optional heater maximizes protection of the camera in extremely cold weather.
