Hikvision launches the next-generation Turbo HD 8.0, opening a new chapter in audio-visual fusion
Hikvision launches the next-generation Turbo HD 8.0, opening a new chapter in audio-visual fusion

Hikvision has announced the latest generation of its Turbo HD range of analogue security products. Turbo HD 8.0 delivers a more comprehensive and interactive security experience for users, enabling them to augment their visual security environment. The revolutionary Turbo HD 8.0 includes four major innovations that bring users real-time communication, 180-degree video protection, and raise night vision to new heights.  The enhancements extend the range of Turbo HD products with two-way audio capabilities, compact dual-lens cameras with stitching technology, and Smart Hybrid Light capability across the entire range of Turbo HD cameras. It also introduces a new advanced pro-series DVR with AcuSense.  TVI two-way audio The new Turbo HD 8.0 cameras feature two-way audio capability, making them suitable for use in various real-time communication scenarios, such as at fences and door-to-door intercoms. Conversations are crystal clear thanks to intelligent noise reduction which isolates human voices by filtering ambient sounds. High-powered 2W speakers ensure that the sound quality is strong and immersive. People can comfortably talk over long distances, meanwhile, thanks to the generous 3m intercom pickup and the greater 5m pickup used at the remote end.  Compact dual-lens cameras with stitching technologyTurbo HD 8.0 introduces a new dual-lens camera that uses proprietary image-stitched technologies to deliver seamless, 180-degree, stitched images. These images remain vivid and colourful at all times of the night, as well as the day, thanks to its large F1.0 aperture and high-sensitivity sensors. The new camera also introduces a more compact design. This makes the new camera more discreet, and more aesthetically suitable for small and medium businesses. Smart Hybrid Light in allSmart Hybrid Light technology enhances the night vision experience and has now been extended across the entire range of cameras in the Turbo HD 8.0 range. The Smart Hybrid Light cameras have a wide F1.6 aperture and can capture colour images at critical events when a person or a vehicle appears. Even better night images can be captured using advanced Smart Hybrid Light cameras with ColorVu technology, a larger F1.0 aperture, later supplemental light turn-on time, Super Confocal Lens, and a BSI high sensitivity sensor.  Upgraded intelligence with advanced pro-series DVRThe new Turbo HD 8.0 range includes an advanced pro-series DVR with AcuSense. This expands the intelligent channel support and improves performance for perimeter protection. It also integrates smart technologies including facial recognition, Motion Detection 2.0, and perimeter protection in a single DVR for varied security requirements. The new DVR will be updated soon to include the AcuSearch function, enabling precise target search with a single click for improved video searching efficiency. The revolutionary HD Turbo 8.0 products are the latest example of Hikvision’s commitment to constant technological innovation and development. In 2018, ColorVu and AcuSense technologies were introduced to deliver 24/7 colour imaging and smart recognition. The following year, PIR Live Guard alarms were added in Turbo HD X. Hikvision will continue to innovate technology to bring new values and experiences to users in the future.

Hikvision 2MP IR bullet network camera joins Easy IP Solution range
Hikvision 2MP IR bullet network camera joins Easy IP Solution range

Easy and secure installation  The Easy IP Solution makes installation easy and secure for all users. The PoE-equipped NVRs mean that the need for a separate power supply to each camera is eliminated, while the inclusion of the 4MP panoramic fisheye camera allows the entire coverage of store or office rather than having to deploy several fixed cameras. The recessed-mount dome cameras also enable installers to simply use existing downlight installations while cameras with motorised lens, and with PT (pan-tilt) and PTZ functionality eliminate the need for post-installation camera and lens direction positioning.  Easy connection As well as PoE meaning that just a single Ethernet cable is required for each camera, the Easy IP Solution includes a complete range of Wi-Fi cameras and NVRs featuring auto-detection, auto-connection and easy access. At the same time, the PoE NVRs automatically allocate an IP address to each camera when it is connected, completely removing any potential delays with configuring IP address forwarding and saving time in large installations.  Easy storage Featuring on-board storage on many of the cameras, Hikvision’s Easy IP Solution also offers high compression efficiency codecs to reduce the burden placed on the transmission and storage elements of the system. This is particularly significant for high-definition IP systems where bandwidth and storage costs can be a major concern - a standard H.264 camera with full HD 1080p resolution and one month of recording can result in about 1.2 TB of space consumed. The Hikvision H.264+ optimised Smart codec technology helps to reduce storage consumption by up to two-thirds, with full HD 1080p resolution for one month consuming just 462 GB.  Easy and advanced viewing and video management All Hikvision Easy IP cameras support the EZVIZ Cloud – P2P service, which enables remote access from your smartphone. This means you can view the live video and recorded video files from your house, store, office or enterprise anytime and anywhere. EZVIZ also includes Intelligent Alarm support so that any intrusion or emergency events can be precisely recognised and resolved.

Hikvision shows expanded range of video surveillance products at IFSEC 2016

Hikvision, a supplier of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, has reported a greater number of visitors to its stand than ever before, at this year’s IFSEC International security exhibition at London’s ExCeL. Showcasing a host of new developments across the Hikvision range, visitors to the company’s stand were shown a number of key products and new additions to the Hikvision range, proving the company is not simply a video surveillance manufacturer - but a total end-to-end system solutions provider. PanoVu Series At the head of the range was the latest 16MP PanoVu Series camera. Designed for wide-area security monitoring applications, the PanoVu Series camera combines 8 sensors with a high-powered PTZ camera, allowing end-users to replace or support multiple cameras with just one 180, or 360 degree view PanoVu camera, delivering a highly detailed panoramic display. PanoVu’s advanced functionality incorporating video analysis and multiple target-tracking algorithm, was shown to deliver highly-effective alarm indication of intrusion detection, line crossing, and region entrance and exiting. Turbo HD 3.0 Solution Alongside this was the acclaimed Turbo HD 3.0 Solution, which upgrades an analogue system to 5 MP-resolution, making high-definition surveillance systems possible without the costly replacement of existing coaxial cables. Engineered with high-calibre H.264+ compression, Turbo HD 3.0 technology reduces bitrates by up to 50% while maintaining high-quality video. Thermal camera range Also featured on the stand was the new Thermal camera range. Offered in static and PTZ versions, thermal only, or thermal and video imaging with 36x optical zoom, their thermal imaging capability extends to up to 1200m at resolutions up to 640 x 512 pixels, no matter what the light level or weather. Standard Hikvision cameras were also displayed adapted for License Plate Recognition (LPR) applications, using free-to-download software, adding further application functionality. Also demonstrated were new Hikvision intercom systems, including designer styled intercom door stations, with vandal proof and built-in biometrics / face detection models too. For door entry systems, Hikvision displayed a selection of new access control readers. Targeting numerous vertical markets Meanwhile, Hikvision also introduced a series of security solutions for vertical markets, including Retail, Transportation, Building and much more. For instance, for mobile CCTV applications including buses, coaches and trains, Hikvision displayed their new PTZ camera designed for vehicle use – complete with magnetic base, 3G/4G control and built-in WIFI, 8-hour on-board battery and two SD card slots. “We are really pleased with the record numbers of visitors to the Hikvision stand at IFSEC 2016,” said Cynthia Ho, Vice President at Hikvision. “As an end-to-end security solutions provider, we were delighted to demonstrate our expanded range of security products to our UK and international customers, and look forward to supporting their business growth throughout another successful year.”
