High resolution, ease of use and an economical install makes the Illustra Pro 12MP Fisheye a natural choice for many surveillance systems. “We are always cognizant of our customers’ need for excellent video quality while keeping a careful eye on cost,” said Stuart Bettle, Video Product Marketing Manager, EMEA, Tyco Security Products. “Both new Illustra cameras provide multiple streams of H.264 and MJPEG video compression, supporting bitrate control. This provides excellent image clarity while efficiently managing bandwidth.”
The new facial biometrics feature within VideoEdge provides immediate verification and detection of individuals Tyco Security Products introduces facial biometrics within VideoEdge video surveillance systems for immediate detection and verification of individuals. Protecting stock and assets With Face Detection analytics, operators can be proactively notified that the surveillance system has detected a person of interest, for example known criminals, ex-employees, VIPs or other persons of importance. This technology can be useful in protecting stock and assets by alerting security to potential risks much sooner than normal, to increasing customer retention by alerting the store manager to greet an important customer entering the store. Face detection storage Face Detection is a valuable analytics feature built into the VideoEdge network video recorder (NVR), eliminating the need for costly external servers dedicated to powering the analytics. Up to 1,000 individuals can be easily enrolled and stored in VideoEdge’s on-board database, with the ability to store multiple faces for each person in the system for the highest possible accuracy in identification. Face Detection analytics Face Detection analytics can also be used “post-event” to speed investigation times by searching video only for specific persons, enabling operators to search video for certain criteria – for example, those individuals who had access to the surrounding area of the incident. Known faces can also be enrolled with video associated for faster future investigations. For example, a retail store can add a photo of a shoplifter at one of its locations to the database so he/she can be seen across the enterprise of sites. If that person enters another store location, operators receive an instant alert to take action to aid in preventing costly shoplifting occurrences. “Facial biometrics within VideoEdge offers our customers real value in improving loss prevention and reducing investigation time,” said Stuart Bettle, Video Product Marketing Manager, EMEA, Tyco Security Products. “The technology used to match multiple points on a face against images stored in the database delivers a high matching success rate for superior performance.” C-CURE 9000 When used in conjunction with the C-CURE 9000 security and event management system and the victor Unified client application, operators and guards can be visually alerted if a mismatch is detected between the live video image and the stored access control credential image of a card which has just been used on the system. Visual verification of the cardholder greatly increases security to the most vulnerable areas of a business.
Tyco Security Products has introduced the new Illustra Pro 2 megapixel 30x PTZ camera, offering a powerful 30x optical zoom to deliver better forensic detail over greater distances. Allows users to identify critical details The new Illustra Pro PTZ camera offers 30x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom, compared with the 20x zoom of the previous Illustra PTZ model. The combination of the PTZ’s advanced optical capability and high quality HD resolution video allows users to identify critical details such as reading license plate characters at distances of more than 300 meters away from the camera. To improve operator control with better precision and control accuracy, the Illustra PTZ uses zoom adjusted programme (ZAP) technology to automatically control the pan and tilt speed in proportion to the amount of zoom used. The Illustra Pro 2MP 30x PTZ helps reduce the costs in network overheads and storage costs with improved low light performance and noise reduction Available in indoor and outdoor models, the new Illustra Pro PTZ delivers a greatly improved true wide dynamic range performance ensuring premium quality surveillance is maintained in the most challenging of lighting conditions. These camera’s clear video quality is maintained during rain, fog or snow through the advanced auto defog feature, while the whiteout highlight reduction feature ensures that car headlights or street lamps do not compromise the image during nighttime surveillance. The 30x PTZ also supports electronic image stabilisation for lower effects of vibrations from wind and other sources when using long range optical magnification. Intelligent guard tour feature This Illustra Pro 30x PTZ introduces a new intelligent guard tour feature using embedded intelligence to autonomously track, zoom in and record events or suspicious activities, allowing the operator to concentrate on other priorities without missing any vital activities. This feature unites motion detection, auto tracking and preset sequences to allow the PTZ to perform independent of a control room operator. Whilst moving through a preset tour without an operator present, the intelligent guard tour feature enables the camera to deliver the video evidence needed to identify key details necessary often making the difference in forensic investigations. “We continually strive to push the limits in video quality, reliability and performance of our Illustra Pro cameras, to answer the feedback from our customers,” said Stuart Bettle, Video Product Marketing Manager, EMEA, Tyco Security Products. “The enhanced imaging features, embedded intelligence and industry leading precision control of the new Illustra Pro 30x PTZ delivers a premium quality PTZ camera well suited to meet the needs of customers in mission critical surveillance applications.” Compatible with American Dynamics VideoEdge and exacqVision video management system (VMS) software and recorders, the Illustra PTZ camera can be easily configured into a video security system. Also, a full line of indoor covers and outdoor mounting options are available for quick installation in any setting.
Tyco Security Products has introduced version 4.8, the newest version of the victor Video Management System (VMS) and VideoEdge network video recorders (NVR, adding several new investigative tools to further simplify incident reporting for busy surveillance operators. New version of victor The newest version of victor enables operators to quickly build and edit video clips of a specific incident, reducing the time spent searching for video evidence from hours to just minutes. Using the new clip builder and image editor features, operators can split, cut, crop, delete and add relevant segments of video to a clip while also adding information directly on the image to better document actions occurring in the scene. These new incident management tools make case reporting faster and more efficient for internal and external law enforcement investigations. Operators tracking a subject can now use victor’s surveillance window recording tool to collate with ease all the related video clips into a single file to capture the entire incident, without having to collect the clips individually from multiple recorders. All streaming video in a selected layout can be simultaneously recorded into a single clip file for export or internal viewing. “The ability to quickly and efficiently collect the right evidence immediately following an incident is a critical time saver in building a case,” said Stuart Bettle, Video Product Marketing Manager EMEA, Tyco Security Products. “These latest enhancements to the powerful victor platform provide an industry-leading suite of enterprise-class investigation and productivity tools. The intuitive interface is designed to maximise operator time and resources in that mission critical control room environment.” New schedule clip download tool The new schedule clip download tool enables surveillance operators to schedule the automatic retrieval of reoccurring video clips they need to review daily, saving on bandwidth usage and freeing up operator time spent manually queuing video for download. Schedule clip download allows users to customise the length of the clip, saving location and clip expiration. Users can also create and save custom surveillance layouts. Beyond the standard layouts, users can define number of rows, columns and aspect ratio and merge cells together to create the view that works best for their specific needs. Enterprise customers can apply corporate branding to deactivate surveillance panes for added customisation options. Additionally, victor offers enhanced camera management capabilities, including 360 fisheye camera client-side dewarping for exacqVision NVRs. Client-side dewarping records one video stream and eliminates the possibility of redundant recording, allowing users to zoom in and navigate within the image for greater detail. Automated recorder monitoring Users will also be able to specify minimum and maximum camera recording rates and receive notifications on their specified levels through the VideoEdge NVR and VideoEdge Hybrid NVR Client or through victor. This gives VideoEdge customers automated recorder monitoring to ensure optimal storage capacity.
