Sir David Veness CBE QPM, the former Assistant Commissioner of Specialist Operations in the Metropolitan Police and UN Under Secretary-General for Safety and Security, is the Senior Advisor for Pilgrims Group. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge (MA, LLM) and attended the Royal College of Defence Studies in 1990.
