Jim Pauley

President and Chief Executive Officer, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)

Jim Pauley is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Jim also serves as the Chairman of the Board of the NFPA Research Foundation. Prior to joining NFPA, he worked with Schneider Electric as the Senior Vice President, External Affairs and Government Relations. Jim has played a number of leadership roles including chairman of the board for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and chair of the High Performance Building Council for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and was a licensed professional engineer in Kentucky.
