Nutanix has introduced the Nutanix Agentic AI solution, a software stack specifically designed to facilitate the rapid adoption of Agentic AI for business transformation.
As enterprises increasingly embrace Agentic AI, the major challenge has shifted from creating individual AI agents to managing the complex infrastructure needed to operate numerous agents securely and efficiently. The new solution addresses this by offering advanced tools and services that support data scientists and developers in handling enterprise data securely while building and fine-tuning AI models.
The Nutanix Agentic AI solution leverages its AHV hypervisor, Flow Virtual Networking, Kubernetes Platform, and Enterprise AI to enable a cloud operating model tailored for enterprise AI operations. This integration simplifies the creation and management of AI factories while meeting performance, security, and compliance standards. “Nutanix Agentic AI extends our AHV hypervisor, Flow Virtual Networking, Nutanix Kubernetes Platform, and Nutanix Enterprise AI,” said Thomas Cornely, Executive Vice President of Product Management at Nutanix.
Moreover, the solution is designed to integrate with NVIDIA AI Enterprise, thus supporting a certified ecosystem for extensive AI operations. Through collaboration with NVIDIA, Nutanix aims to facilitate the development of autonomous AI agents by incorporating the NVIDIA Agent Toolkit.
Nutanix Agentic AI incorporates an Advanced AI Gateway and Model-as-a-Service features as part of its platform. With the latest release of Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI), developers can expect enhanced capabilities for secure model connection and fine-tuning, coupled with integration with the NVIDIA Nemotron AI models. The solution also offers a rich catalog of pre-built AI developer tools, simplifying the transition to Agentic AI with a Kubernetes-compliant platform that includes various open-source utilities.
The solution provides improved infrastructure and security features aimed at maximising resource efficiency. Nutanix has upgraded its AHV hypervisor to handle physical resource allocation automatically, enhancing performance on GPU-intensive servers. The Flow Virtual Networking solution additionally enhances high-performance networking by offloading the network data plane to NVIDIA BlueField, thus optimising CPU and memory usage.

The unified storage solutions support scalable read/write performance for large numbers of GPU clients, ensuring efficient data handling across AI workloads. With the shift to Agentic AI, enterprise adoption has hit a tipping point where the barrier to success is no longer the model or building individual agents, but the complexity of managing the infrastructure required to securely run thousands of agents at scale. Infrastructure and platform teams need better solutions to build and operate AI factories, and provide shared access to their resources while maximising performance, security, and compliance with sovereignty requirements. It enables customers with dynamic, multiuser AI environments to build, run, and protect agentic AI applications with a full suite of infrastructure orchestration and security software coupled with AI Platform Services (PaaS) and Models-as-a-Service (MaaS) for data scientists and Agentic AI developers. An Open Kubernetes Platform with a Rich AI Catalog: Nutanix simplifies the path to Agentic AI by extending its CNCF-compliant Nutanix Kubernetes Platform with a rich catalog of pre-built open source AI developer tools including Notebooks, Vector Databases, MLOps workflow engines, and Agentic frameworks. Because it is fully integrated with NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, developers can instantly deploy NVIDIA NIM microservices, including Nemotron, to accelerate the development of high-performance AI applications in production.
Infrastructure Optimisation and Security: In the early access version of NVIDIA topology aware AHV, the Nutanix AHV hypervisor has been enhanced to automatically optimise allocation of physical resources to virtual machines on GPU dense servers and help maximise performance.

As a solution built on the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, Nutanix Unified Storage delivers linearly scalable read/write performance for thousands of GPU clients. By providing a high-capacity tier for KV Cache offloading and support for S3 over RDMA and NFS over RDMA, Nutanix provides a scalable, low-latency data fabric that maximises GPU efficiency across all enterprise AI workloads.
