Kaseya, a prominent provider of AI-enhanced IT management and cybersecurity solutions, has unveiled notable advancements in its backup and disaster recovery (BCDR) offerings.
Key developments feature the introduction of AI-driven screenshot verification integrated with Datto SIRIS and Datto ALTO. Upcoming implementations include an agentless Hyper-V backup solution and other integrations aimed at improving accuracy and efficiency in data management processes.
AI-driven screenshot verification enhancements
According to Pratik Wadher, Kaseya’s chief technology officer, the rise in cybercrime underscores the need for businesses to prioritise cyber resilience. "By integrating AI into more and more of our products, we are not only improving reliability but also enabling our customers to complete these critical actions with ease," Wadher stated.
Traditionally, screenshot verification has been a cumbersome and manual task fraught with false positives that drain resources. By leveraging substantial data from Kaseya’s extensive network, the AI-powered verification enhances backup accuracy to 99.9%, bolstering confidence in data recoverability within Datto SIRIS and Datto ALTO systems. This results in an estimated savings of over eight hours per technician each month, translating to approximately $1,200 in non-billable labour per technician.

In April 2026, Kaseya plans to roll out a new integration linking Datto Backup for Entra ID, Datto SaaS Protection, and Spanning. This integration will facilitate the restoration of Entra ID objects and Microsoft 365 Exchange data through a unified operational process, significantly streamlining recovery efforts and enhancing resilience in these environments.
In addition to these innovations, Kaseya is set to introduce an agentless backup solution specifically designed for Microsoft Hyper-V environments this summer. The Hyper-V backup solution allows for seamless protection of virtual machines without necessitating the installation of software agents on each machine. This agentless format simplifies deployment, reduces maintenance, and decreases resource consumption on protected systems, offering greater flexibility in recovery operations.
“The end game is not backup – it’s recoverability,” remarked Dale Shulmstra, data protection specialist and founder of Invenio IT. The AI-screenshot verification offers critical insights into system statuses, enabling lower-level technicians to take informed actions. "This is exactly what we want them to learn—it’s a really good training tool for us," Shulmstra added.
