The exhibition will give delegates the chance to see a wide range of products and services from exhibitors
The one-day event will take place on Wednesday 5th June 2013 at the National Motorcycle Museum

Following the success of the British Security Industry Association’s Information Destruction Conference and Exhibition earlier this year, the BSIA is pleased to announce that this popular annual event will return next summer, for the fifth successive year.

The one-day event will take place on Wednesday 5th June 2013 at this year’s popular location, the National Motorcycle Museum, next to the NEC in Birmingham, and is aimed at key decision makers in organisations that carry out the secure destruction of confidential material.

Anthony Pearlgood, chairman of the BSIA’s Information Destruction section, describes the event as “a fantastic opportunity for members of the information destruction industry to learn about best practice, meet with relevant suppliers from the shredding industry and network with their peers in the industry.”

2012’s conference featured a variety of speakers discussing an array of relevant topics including how businesses within the industry can prosper during the current economic climate and the trends and future of the paper market.

Next year’s event plans to deliver another informative and varied conference programme, discussing topics such as the environmental issues surrounding information destruction, the procurement perspective of buying information destruction services, how to invest for growth and an ever popular open debate regarding the industry.

The exhibition itself will give delegates the chance to see a wide range of products and services from exhibitors. The day is also a fantastic opportunity to network with other professionals, including a drinks reception along with lunch and other refreshments. In addition to this, there is a networking dinner on the evening of the event for which attendees can register their interest in through the online booking form.

The BSIA surveyed those who attended the event last year and received positive responses. 90% of delegates rated the time available to network with other exhibitors and delegates highly, along with praising the format and organisation of the event. 100% of respondents said that they would attend the event again next year.

Richard McIlwaine, of DiskShred, found the event to be an “informative and interactive exhibition” along with being “a great opportunity to network with peers and see some of the latest technology first hand.”
