RISCO Group, a leading provider of integrated security solutions, has released a new version of its SynopSYS PSIM Software. SynopSYS 2.0 is a breakthrough integrated solution for security management in various organizations, offering progressive tools and methods for security officers and integrators.

The new version introduces a new Situation Management Module, which mandates the operator to act upon an event according to a step-by-step procedure predefined by the security manager. The Situation Management Module enables security officers in an organization to get a real-time view of the controlled premises, to take actions considering the situation's escalation, and to make optimal decisions for every event.

"One of the biggest challenges facing security managers is responding immediately and effectively to events," says Yuval Temam, Integration Product Manager. "Today, the amount of information the security manager receives when he comes to handle an event (pop-up cameras, movement of people, object locations, etc.) is without a doubt tremendous. This information overload can create confusion and lead the security manager to an inappropriate course of action. SynopSYS manages the huge amounts of information, and guides the user to the most effective response to each event."

The new version of SynopSYS also introduces a Scheduler Module, which enables the supervisor to schedule tasks such as video recording, authorisation and report generation, on a one-time or recurring basis. Using this module, the supervisor can define the systems behavior through day or night mode, and complete the different authorised user profiles according to organisations working hour policies. A complete audit trail of user operations and the system's state enables the supervisor to investigate the complete SynopSYS events history.

Additional system capabilities:
  • Massaging interface for notifying relevant security authorisation figures of events. This can be exported through email and SMS.
  • Project migration and restore into predefined checkpoints that enables system flexibility and less dependency between the physical computing platform and project structure
  • Comprehensive system handling rules, enabling easy after-event setup to the preferred interface. This will ensure the right starting point to the next situation.
  • Enhanced system deployment supporting diversified project scales in multi-sites.

SynopSYS 2.0 is now compatible with SQL 2008 R2 Express, as well as Windows 7 OS, 64-bit.
