Octavian Security’s Safecontractor accreditation is a reflection on how highly the company prioritises the safety of its staff

Octavian Security has again been certified as one of the safest businesses to work for in the UK by leading accreditation scheme Safecontractor.

The Nottingham-based security provider, which performs a variety of operations across the UK, is audited annually by the organisation to make sure its health and safety standards remain high.

“Octavian Security’s Safecontractor accreditation is a reflection on how highly we prioritise the safety of our staff,” said commercial director Tony Mellor.

“As a leading security provider, we feel that we have a responsibility to lead by example on matters such as this, so we are very happy that we have upheld our high standards.”

Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process that examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, accessible to registered via the organisation’s website.

"More businesses need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Octavian security has done,” commented Safecontractor’s technical director John Kinge.

“The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.”
