Just a few weeks after opening up yet another sales subsidiary in the United Kingdom, Danish based Milestone Systems is in action again, this time in Singapore.  The Asian business market is growing fast by all accounts, and China in particular is clearly becoming a force to be reckoned with.  Milestone Systems is a part of this: the company has been building up sales in the area through authorized partners in a dozen Asian countries, and now will be supporting this channel more comprehensively with a regional office.

"The authorized partners in the Milestone sales channel for Asia have been succeeding with larger project installations and increasing volume in general.  This naturally calls for stepping up the company's support levels, both commercially and technically," says Lars Thinggaard, CEO at Milestone Systems.  "The Singapore office will provide this immediately with their demonstrated expertise in IP network security."

The Director of Milestone Systems Pte Ltd in Singapore is Lo Yew Seng, and Sally Tan is its Sales Manager.  The first activities are already planned: a series of professional training sessions in Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan to certify partners in the latest features of Milestone's top-of-the-line solution, XProtectTM Enterprise.

"As a part of our strategy, we want to have strong local presence and support for our customers in this area, who are increasing in number daily.  We have high expectations for the success of this region - we also plan to open an office in China in 2007," states Mads Bo Frederiksen, VP Sales at Milestone Systems.

IP network technology is revolutionizing the traditional security industry, and Milestone Systems has been a pioneer in its development of pure IP video surveillance software.  The open platform approach allows for value-adding effectiveness through integration with other systems and devices, efficient reuse of network infrastructure, and the widest choice of supported hardware from more than 30 manufacturers.

"Milestone Systems is a world leader and we are proud to be working with the best-of-breed champions.  We were recently at the GDSF trade show in Beijing, which confirmed that there is an overwhelming interest in the Milestone IP video open platform," says Lo Yew Seng.  "This is an exciting time for the security industry with the many advantages of IP technology in great demand."

IMS Research, a leading market analyst organization for the global security industry, has determined in its newest report on video surveillance equipment that China will represent an average growth of 26% over the next five years, with Singapore also performing in double digits.
