AES Corporation, a manufacturer of long-range wireless private mesh radio alarm communication products and services, has announced the appointment of Revathi Pillai as Vice President of Engineering.

She will lead the Engineering team at AES Peabody corporate headquarters, helping to drive innovative development and design of new products and services aligned with strategic planning initiatives.

IoT expertise

Revathi brings a proven track record in the telecommunication and utility industries along with the Internet of Things (IoT) space to AES. Her diverse background includes senior level executive positions at high tech companies specialising in hardware, software engineering, and quality assurance.

In her new role, Revathi is responsible for leading all engineering and project management activities. Her leadership and impressive skill set is a perfect fit for AES and the alarm industry.

Certified Scrum Master

Prior to joining AES, Ms. Pillai has been a valued contributor to the success of many high-tech companies, specialising in information technology and services. She is multi-lingual, author of multiple patents and published articles, and a certified Scrum Master.

Revathi holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala, India, a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama, and is working toward completion of her MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Dec 2018. Revathi also attended the Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University.
