March Networks Compact DVR for bank ATMs - 3204 DVR

Following the recent stock market flotation of March Networks, a leading provider of IP-based digital video surveillance technology, the company used IFSEC 2005 as its European launch pad to replicate the success it enjoys in the US market - where it currently holds a 25% share of the banking sector.

Among the products March Networks exhibited at IFSEC was the 3204 DVR - a compact, four-camera, 60 frame-per-second system designed specifically for confined-space applications such as bank ATMs and for remote locations needing fewer cameras. The Linux-based 3204 DVR provides enterprise video processing and storage in a networked platform that is easy to install, use and maintain with high reliability and performance.

In addition, this DVR features the March Network trademark strengths of embedded Linux operating system, intelligent hardware/software watchdog circuitry and built-in back-up battery for unmatched reliability.

Technical specifications include monitor output, two-way audio port, four alarm inputs, one switched output, up to three data ports (two RS-232, one RS-485) enable the synchronizing of video records with banking ATM or retail POS transaction data, and the control of PTZ cameras (joystick or on-screen). The 3204 DVR provides an impressive 60 FPS of high-quality video capture across its 4 inputs, with flexible allocation allowing for recording of up to 30 FPS on 2 cameras. Per-camera frame rates can also be increased on alarms for high-quality event records. A high-capacity internal hard-drive (120 GB, 250 GB or 300 GB) and very efficient H.263 or MPEG-4 video compression technology ensure the amount of this video stored and immediately available on the system.

Local or centralized integration with transaction systems such as ATMs or retail POS machines provides the flexibility to generate automatic, fully synchronized video records for each customer transaction.
