The BT810 Reader, with DESFire technology, is designed with high secure site installation requirements in mind. DESFire is a new technology that allows 3DES (Digital Encryption Standard) encrypted RF communication between a miPASS DESFire card and access reader, allowing the most secure card transaction process available. The BT810 is a low profile, robust, epoxy filled unit that is built to withstand the harshest of environments and operations. The reader is preset with specific keys and only a valid miPASS DESFire card with matching keys can be read by the reader ensuring that the system cannot be compromised.
