Concept Smoke Screen wins BT Retail Week Technology Award
Concept Smoke Screen won in the Loss Prevention Solution of the Year category
The best in Retail Technology were recognised with a coveted at this year's gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane in London, on June 15, 2010.

The BT Retail Week Technology Awards aim to reward the very best in retail technology and recognise the excellent service they deliver to the customers they serve. The awards bring together industry leaders to celebrate the most innovative and passionate technology professionals operating in retail today.

The awards proved to be a fantastic night with comedian Rufus Hound hosting the evening and presenting the awards.

Joanna Perry, Technology Editor of Retail Week magazine commented: "In the last 12 months the appetite for technology and innovation seems to have stepped up a gear, the quality of the entries and especially the winners this year has been fantastic, and so I am expecting the celebrations to be even more upbeat tonight."

The award is the fourth such acknowledgment in security innovation that Concept has received since 2005

Swineshead-based security smoke company Concept Smoke Screen, in partnership with Aurum Group, won the Loss Prevention Solution of the Year category with the Window Display and In-Store Defence System. This is the fourth such acknowledgment in security innovation that Concept has received since 2005.

Mark Thorne, National Account Manager at Concept was delighted with the win: "We have been working closely with Aurum for some time, developing an effective loss prevention system. We needed a cure to combat the increase in violent daytime robberies currently plaguing the retail industry, in particular the high end jewellery market. We believe we have made great leaps towards this and to be recognised by our peers in such distinguished company is superb!"

The evening was filled with celebration and the recognition of success, encouraging the crowd, including representatives from Boots, Tesco, Argos and Halfords, to recognise what they had achieved last year in the tough climate and to take the innovation forward in to 2011.

The BT Retail Week Technology Awards are recognised as a huge accolade and are organised by leading weekly magazine Retail Week. For more information on The Retail Week Technology Awards, go to their website. For more information on Concept Smoke Screen visit this link.
