ACUIX™ ES PTZ and fixed dome cameras - This line of pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) and fixed dome cameras has a reduced footprint that fits into most surveillance environments.  Operating on less than 15 watts of power, the ACUIX ES offers energy efficiency as well as ease of installation and operation. Performance Series security cameras - The Performance Series incorporates indoor and indoor/outdoor mini-domes as well as bullet cameras, many with infrared (IR) illumination. The line is ideal for organisations looking for cost-effective security surveillance.Recognising that success for installers and consultants in 2009 is about more than just product, Honeywell is launching training programmes that deliver valuable sales, marketing and technical support and training. These programmes include: Trained Specifier Certification (TSC) - Honeywell's TSC programme will be officially launched at IFSEC. It is designed to help consultants and specifiers stay in touch with market developments and trends as well as new solutions, applications and technology. This richly varied programme provides participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today's market and encourages a rewarding relationship between Honeywell and the key security consultants, consulting engineers and specifiers who drive leading edge security solutions across Europe.Systems Integrator Programme (SIP) - This programme is designed specifically to help system integrators generate new business, stimulate growth and build and sustain customer relationships, providing them with a variety of marketing, training and support resources. Honeywell offers three membership tiers to participants, and courses are held at the company's Training Centres of Excellence in the UK, Netherlands and Germany."We are witnessing dramatic change in the security space: systems are moving from analogue to digital; applications are bridging physical and logical security; and companies are adopting a more holistic approach than ever before," said Vineet Nargolwala, general manager EMEA, Honeywell Systems Group. "At IFSEC we are demonstrating the rich variety of ways in which Honeywell is responding to these changes and is protecting our customers' businesses, from two-door systems to multi-site access control and video security, and integrated systems based on IP or analogue. We are also launching new training initiatives designed to enable our customers to stay ahead of industry changes."

New 600 TVL Day/Night Bullet Cameras with IR Illumination from Honeywell
New 600 TVL Day/Night Bullet Cameras with IR Illumination from Honeywell

Introducing the new HBD92SX and HBD95SX Day/Night bullet cameras with IR illumination from Honeywell - designed to provide high quality video 24/7 in both indoor and outdoor surveillance applications. Both HBD92SX and HBD95SX include a high resolution 600 TVL 1/3" Sony Super HAD™ CCD imager, Digital Noise Reduction (DNR), Digital Slow Shutter (DSS) and external controls for lens zoom, focus and camera set-up. HBD92SX features a 2.8-12 mm F1.4 IR corrected Vari-focal lens with 56 IR LEDs for illuminating a scene up to 30m (depending on scene reflectance). HBD95SX features a 5-50 mm F1.4 IR corrected Vari-focal lens with 42 IR LEDs for illuminating a scene up to 45m (depending on scene reflectance) Benefits Installation adjustments for the cameras can be accomplished without opening the camera housings. Screw gears let the installer adjust the lens field of view and focus. The porthole at the bottom provides access to the On Screen Display (OSD) menu as well as the IR power adjustment. 600 TVL resolution for sharper image detail combined with DNR and DSS offer outstanding performance in low light. Degradation of image quality under low light conditions has been reduced as a result of the DNR technology incorporated into the cameras. This results in better video performance, lower noise in the pictures and as a result, increased storage capacity on DVRs. The F1.4 IR corrected aspherical Vari-focal lenses offer a wide range of field of view settings. Sharp optical detail and excellent light gathering offer excellent optical performance. Twelve privacy zones can be programmed per camera enabling the end user to ensure any civil liberties are protected within the scene that is being monitored. IR LEDs provide illumination of up to 45m (HBD95SX) depending on scene reflectivity. The combination of the IR LEDs, the IR cut filter moving out of the optical path, and the F1.4 rating of the lens, as well as the amount of reflection of the IR light from the object of interest, will impact the distance at which the camera can provide a useable image of an object.

Honeywell adds hi-def indoor/outdoor mini-dome to IP camera portfolio
Honeywell adds hi-def indoor/outdoor mini-dome to IP camera portfolio

Honeywell has released a rugged, indoor/outdoor mini-dome IP camera that provides three times the image resolution of standard analogue cameras, yet with similar network bandwidth requirements. The HD4MDIPX is the latest addition to Honeywell's line of high-definition, IP cameras that provide high-quality images The true day/night, vandal-resistant, fixed mini-dome provides 720p resolution at full frame rate. It also helps save money with its low power-consumption rate and ability to be retrofitted on many existing digital and network video recorder installations without requiring additional storage capabilities. This dramatically decreases the cost of infrastructure and total cost of ownership. "When it comes to video surveillance, the top two things on end users' minds today are picture quality and cost," said Roberto Testani, Product Manager, Honeywell Security Group. "HD4MDIPX is another example of how Honeywell continues to deliver on the promise of IP by addressing both of those concerns. It provides extremely crisp images at minimal bandwidth, reducing the number of hardware servers needed to manage the system." Like the indoor-version HD3MDIPX, which Honeywell released earlier this year, the HD4MDIPX features an externally accessible web-based menu that lets operators view and control cameras from virtually anywhere. It also features built-in motion detection capabilities and camera tamper detection features that notify users when the camera's field-of-view is altered, obstructed or blurred. The HD4MDIPX also decreases installation and training costs through its simplified set up, which includes the same programming requirements as interior cameras. Because of this, operators can cover a wider range of applications without having to learn new products. In addition to the HD4MDIPX and HD3MDIPX cameras, Honeywell's growing line of IP video technology includes a complete selection of recording solutions and the MAXPRO® VMS video management platform. The company will soon expand its camera line to include a bullet camera and box camera options. To see how Honeywell's growing line of IP video solutions can help organisations transition from analogue-based video to digital systems, please visit http://www.honeywellipsolutions.com/.

Honeywell adds high definition mini-dome to IP camera portfolio
Honeywell adds high definition mini-dome to IP camera portfolio

Announcing the latest addition to the Honeywell EQUIP® family of IP products and the first in a series of high definition cameras. The new HD3MDIPX indoor mini-dome provides 720p images at extremely low bandwidth for significantly reduced storage requirements-even in low light. The HD3MDIPX is the latest addition to Honeywell's expanded IP portfolio of high definition (HD) cameras that allows end users to integrate a broad range of digital technology into their analogue systems. The HD mini-dome provides extremely high picture quality at the cost of traditional analogue cameras. It features an externally accessible web-based menu to let operators view and control cameras from virtually anywhere, and camera tamper detection alerts users instantly if a camera has been obstructed or vandalised. "When it comes to new security installations, IP-based systems are growing in prevalence as viable options alongside traditional analogue-based approaches," said Vineet Nargolwala, general manager EMEA, Honeywell Systems Group. "IP migration is not a matter of if - it's a matter of when. And as this happens and the price of IP falls, the capabilities and benefits of IP will continue to grow. In light of this, beginning a migration to IP-based systems is a necessary way to future-proof an organisation and prepare for the day when IP will be the dominant form of video." The company's IP offering includes a powerful video management platform, MAXPRO® VMS, and a complete selection of recording solutions. Open architecture lets users easily transition digital technology into existing analogue systems and provides users the flexibility they need to control costs and maximise their investment in existing equipment. The HD portfolio of cameras will soon expand to include an outdoor mini-dome, a bullet camera and box camera options. For more information, visit www.honeywellipsolutions.com
