Hikvision launches the latest NVR 5.0 to revolutionize the product experience

Hikvision recently released the NVR 5.0. Building upon the success of previous iterations, NVR 3.0 and NVR 4.0, Hikvision NVR 5.0 innovates the intelligent platform and integrates with diverse scenario applications, leading the innovative change from traditional recorders to AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) NVR. The AIoT NVR takes intelligent operations, protection, connections, and application functionality to new heights, offering users an innovative, smart, and seamless experience. The NVR 5.0 delivers a refreshing product experience for users with intelligent operations, offering a smooth UI experience with three vital aspects: intuitive live view, faster and smarter playback, and visualized real-time alarm and response.  Intuitive live viewThe new intuitive live view feature makes it easier for users to monitor the real-time channel status more clearly. Customized views can be created for different viewpoints and the system can be configured to meet the needs of multi-screen timed switching. Faster and smarter playback  One of the highlights of the NVR 5.0 is the ‘AcuSearch’ feature. With this advanced new function, users can enjoy faster and more accurate video searches during playback. This innovative search capability allows users to focus on specific targets of interest with just one click, improving overall search efficiency. ‘Smart Search’ settings allow users to draw rule boxes or intrusion lines at the location of an event to quickly filter and easily identify targets entering a particular area. The ‘Slice Playback’ function enhances video retrieval still further by enabling users to visually locate the segments they want to replay. These features work together to improve overall search efficiency, helping users to quickly and easily find the information they need. Real-time alarm and responseReal-time alarm and response have also been significantly enhanced with NVR 5.0. The one-stop event center provides centralized and visual displays of alarm events, enabling security operators to respond swiftly and effectively. The alarm popup feature – combined with event lists, screen views, and captured images – provides a seamless and closed-loop approach to addressing security incidents promptly. Besides the intelligent operations, NVR 5.0 integrates automatic perimeter protection with self-learning by embedding an inference engine in the NVR. The self-learning perimeter protection adopts self-deployment with no manual intervention required. It combines reasoning and training into one with automated algorithm iteration, which greatly improves the accuracy of the algorithms and reduces the false alarms, while also requiring minimal user input. Moreover, the NVR 5.0 offers intelligent connectivity capabilities by enabling direct access for a wide array of devices, enhancing convergence functions. It provides smart audio and video linkage for instant response and data storage, and also supports alarm, access control, and other AIoT application access, facilitating centralized management. NVR 5.0 is also designed to integrate seamlessly with a diverse range of application scenarios to meet different management requirements and improve management efficiency. These applications augment its capabilities and versatility in different environments including entrance and exit management in single-lane scenarios, time & attendance, passenger flow and time-lapse photography.

Hikvision announced its new access control and time attendance offerings, the MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals, promising a new era of face recognition access control is coming. To meet a multitude of real-world scenarios and customer needs, the MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals lineup features four total series: Value Series, Pro Series, Ultra Series, and Face Recognition Modules for Turnstile. With powerful functions and competitive prices, the Value Series (DS-K1T341A/DS-K1T331) products have been uniquely designed for SMB scenarios, such as offices and retail shops. “We see great advantages in the ‘touch-free’ experience that face recognition provides. With advanced deep learning technology and diverse practical functions, we expect that MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals can bring more security and efficiency to our small and medium sized customers, making access control and time attendance much easier,” says Frank Zhang, President of the International Product and Solution Center at Hikvision. Fast, accurate recognition, even in darkness Hikvision MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals are powered by a deep learning algorithm, which increases accuracy of face recognition to over 99% and enhances verification speeds to under 0.2 seconds. The enhanced verification rates and accuracy ensure a pleasant, “touch-free” experience for users – a vast improvement over swiping ID cards or fingerprint scans. Furthermore, MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals perform well in low- and even zero-light environments. Better security with face anti-spoofing Equipped with dual lenses – a visible light lens and an infrared lens – MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals will only grant access when both lenses detect the same person, as well as determine whether the face is actual, not an image. This anti-spoofing technology makes access control management much safer and prevents most attendance fraud.  Multiple linkages and third-party integration options Along with door linkage, MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals can be linked with NVRs for data recording and storage. They can also be linked with network cameras to allow clear video recording of the scene when any pre-set events are triggered. Meanwhile, MinMoe products provide an abundance of third-party integration options for extensive compatibility, allowing quick and cost-effective connections between MinMoe Face Recognition Terminals and customers’ existing door control and attendance systems.

Hikvision shows expanded range of video surveillance products at IFSEC 2016
Hikvision shows expanded range of video surveillance products at IFSEC 2016

Hikvision, a supplier of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, has reported a greater number of visitors to its stand than ever before, at this year’s IFSEC International security exhibition at London’s ExCeL. Showcasing a host of new developments across the Hikvision range, visitors to the company’s stand were shown a number of key products and new additions to the Hikvision range, proving the company is not simply a video surveillance manufacturer - but a total end-to-end system solutions provider. PanoVu Series At the head of the range was the latest 16MP PanoVu Series camera. Designed for wide-area security monitoring applications, the PanoVu Series camera combines 8 sensors with a high-powered PTZ camera, allowing end-users to replace or support multiple cameras with just one 180, or 360 degree view PanoVu camera, delivering a highly detailed panoramic display. PanoVu’s advanced functionality incorporating video analysis and multiple target-tracking algorithm, was shown to deliver highly-effective alarm indication of intrusion detection, line crossing, and region entrance and exiting. Turbo HD 3.0 Solution Alongside this was the acclaimed Turbo HD 3.0 Solution, which upgrades an analogue system to 5 MP-resolution, making high-definition surveillance systems possible without the costly replacement of existing coaxial cables. Engineered with high-calibre H.264+ compression, Turbo HD 3.0 technology reduces bitrates by up to 50% while maintaining high-quality video. Thermal camera range Also featured on the stand was the new Thermal camera range. Offered in static and PTZ versions, thermal only, or thermal and video imaging with 36x optical zoom, their thermal imaging capability extends to up to 1200m at resolutions up to 640 x 512 pixels, no matter what the light level or weather. Standard Hikvision cameras were also displayed adapted for License Plate Recognition (LPR) applications, using free-to-download software, adding further application functionality. Also demonstrated were new Hikvision intercom systems, including designer styled intercom door stations, with vandal proof and built-in biometrics / face detection models too. For door entry systems, Hikvision displayed a selection of new access control readers. Targeting numerous vertical markets Meanwhile, Hikvision also introduced a series of security solutions for vertical markets, including Retail, Transportation, Building and much more. For instance, for mobile CCTV applications including buses, coaches and trains, Hikvision displayed their new PTZ camera designed for vehicle use – complete with magnetic base, 3G/4G control and built-in WIFI, 8-hour on-board battery and two SD card slots. “We are really pleased with the record numbers of visitors to the Hikvision stand at IFSEC 2016,” said Cynthia Ho, Vice President at Hikvision. “As an end-to-end security solutions provider, we were delighted to demonstrate our expanded range of security products to our UK and international customers, and look forward to supporting their business growth throughout another successful year.”
