The DX9100 Series digital video recorder (DVR) is a recording system that can record up to 16 channels of video and store information on its internal storage unit. Thousands of cameras can be recorded and viewed at the same time when multiple DX9100 recorders and DX9100 viewstations are linked to each other through a local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). Because of the low bandwidth requirements on the network, the system can be distributed over many buildings in many different physical locations in different cities or even countries.
