SHD has solidified its position in the realm of cybersecurity by becoming a foundational member of the Cyber Security Community launched by Compass Group.

Inception of the cyber security community
In April 2024, the Compass Group, comprising 37 members, officially formed the Cyber Security Community. SHD played a crucial role as one of the founding entities, contributing to the strategic approach required for cybersecurity advancements. The initiative began with a pivotal gathering known as the "Compass Cyber Security Castle."
The inaugural meeting was held on April 23 and 24, 2024, at the historic Hemmersbach Castle near Cologne. It brought together 70 IT security specialists from various Compass member organisations in Germany, including experts from SHD. The event also saw participation from 15 representatives of major security vendors, including industry names such as Check Point, Fortinet, and Sophos.
This meeting served as the launchpad for deep, ongoing collaboration among the members. The community has scheduled a series of future engagements, intending to conduct both virtual and in-person meetings regularly. These efforts are designed to strengthen the collaborative security stance against evolving digital threats.
